Hysterectomy?

Does anyone have experience of their endometriosis issues stopping post hysterectomy?

I have had my endometriosis operated on, been diagnosed with it in the walls of the womb and told hysterectomy may stop symptoms however body remembers pain in endometriosis and also endo spreads outside of reproductive organs (I had it removed from bowel already).

So at 40 with no children I’m not really keen to throw my chance of having children away completely (crazy when with endo and pcos the chances are slim anyway) but at the same time I wonder if anyone has had success with this?

I had one 3 yrs ago with ovaries left and 5 weeks ago had further endo removed from peritoneal wall. Probably because I still have ovaries but nothing cures it completely but it helped loads regarding the flooding every month. It’s a big decision, best wishes x
