Hi All
I'm new to this forum and seek advice from those of you who've had an hysterectomy caused by a small prolapse bladder and decending uterus?
I'm 68 and until 5 months ago I was able to cycle around 25 to 30 km a day and classed my self as being fairly fit and active! I took up the cycling to loose weight and lost 3 stone! Unfortunately I've gained 1 stone due to two accidents 6.months ago and not being able to cycle much.
5 years ago a CT scan highlighted the small prolaspe bladder plus an umbilical hernia plus many other minor things! Well a few months ago my GP decided it was time to see a gynecologist which happened last week. She noted from my file that I was allergic to pessary's and offered the O ring which I would not agreed to as I heard they can cause discharge and construction! The construction was side of things was definitely a no due to having a previous history as a child causing a district nurse to be regularly called to.my home.
At present I'm unable to cycle my usual milage due to horrid lower pains which feels like I've badly bruised my lower butt bone structure. Does anyone else suffer with this feeling when sitting upright on a hardest surface or at a weird angle?
I was also notified that my uterus is also slipping slightly and there fore was offered an hysterectomy. I'm 68 and I'm desperate to get back on track with my cycling plus I want to loose 2 stone in weight!,
I would love to hear from anyone who's undergone this operation and is now able to exercise again!,
Trish
PS I've also been a member of the British Liver Trust for 3 years due to having an unknown autoimmune disease !
