Good news stories
That is great news everyone wants to hear positive outcomes. When I was first diagnosed I just wanted to hear positive stories. I really depended on information from Ovacome and hearing about other peoples experiences and advice. I was diagnosed in 2014 with grade 3c bowel cancer. After partial bowel

Prostap before hysterectomy
A question on prostap..... I’ve seen my specialist again today, after lap and MRI it has been decided a full hysterectomy is my best way forward. I have to start prostap injections for 6 months before she will operate. Just looking for some advice on how you’ve felt during prostap? What to expect

Decapeptyl & HRT
Hi All So I started HRT just over a week ago as addback therapy while I am on Decapeptyl injections. I was experiencing hot flushes and low mood which have improved but over the last 24/48 hours my endo pains are back with a vengeance and have started a period like bleed. I had been pain free since

When you get fed up and email Mr Bojo Johnson 🤣
Mr Johnson, I’m writing this email in sheer disgust with our NHS and it’s massive failings, that will no doubt, impact the rest of my life! You see, I have a severe chronic disease called Endometriosis, which left me on 3 monthly follow-ups for the last 4-5 years, with absolutely no point whatsoever

What is floppy bowel?
I had a complete hysterectomy Friday due to endometriosis, we thought it was on my bowel however the surgeon said my symptoms were caused by a floppy bowel which is most likely been caused by my ibs and that I need to be referred to a gastroenterologist for treatment etc , he didn't tell me what a floppy

Hello to you reading this 💛 I was diagnosed 2018, 4 laparoscopies (2 bodged NHS and 2 private excision). I am now left with painful adhesions in my pelvis where Endometriosis was removed. Hi All! Just wanted to pop a post on here as I know many women have been through/yet to go through the difficult conversation with the gyni who sits you down and tells you that you will never consieve. I was told this 3 years ago, was told to have a hysterectomy. I refused... I'm now 22 weeks pregnant

Zoladex and mirena removal - blood loss?
I wonder if anyone has any experience of this. I had two three month courses of zoladex two years ago with mirena in situ and didn't have any bleeds. My mirena at the time stopped my periods completely. They changed my mirena Feb 2020 during my most recent lap and I have had 2+ week bleeding every month

Full Hysterectomy with Ovary Removal and Stoma
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with Endo after failed fertility treatment three years ago at the age of 39. After numerous scans, laparoscopy, MRI and sigmoidoscopy, the option suggested is a full hysterectomy with ovary removal and sigmoid colon resection due to scar tissue thickening a portion of it.

Hysterectomy & ovary removal - what do you wish you'd known first?
Hi, Thinking about surgery, the consultant explained to me that my options might range from removing the endo lesions and restoring of anatomy position, to total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (removal of the uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes and ovaries). I still need an MRI scan to

Refused surgery!!! Help!
Hello ladies, I haven't posted on here before but have been reading and following for sometime. It seems to be the only place to find advice, reassurance and positive stories as Google is the complete opposite. My Mum (73) was taken into A&E in June 2020 with heavy post menopausal bleeding; had ultrasound

Having ovaries removed
Hi all, I wondered if anyone hear had a hysterectomy but kept their ovaries and then had their ovaries removed at a later date? I'm wondering what the difference was in the pain levels once they were removed. Was it worth it? Pros and cons etc Thanks xx
