After hysterectomy

looking for some advice. (Apologies if this is TMI)

I am 19 days post full hysterectomy at 31. My recovery has been good so far and I am feeling good.

I was extremely constipated a couple of days ago and I had to take extra laxido. This ended up having a strong effect and I then couldn’t get off the toilet last night. At bedtime I started to have a lot of watery discharge gushing out. This morning it not as bad but whenever I strain I do feel a small gush. Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to get in touch with my gp?

Thanks in advanced

I use Laxido myself…and so far have needed 1 sachet to get relief. What you experienced could be related to the amount you took, it could have completely emptied your bowels, and it’s possible you could feel dehydrated.

🤔 For peace of mind ..speak to your GP..Practice Nurse or a Pharmacist.

Thank you for your response, I should have been a little clearer. I have had a lot of watery vaginal discharge. Wasn’t sure if this was due to straining due to the constipation

🤔It’s entirely possible it could be linked to straining..I’ve noticed this occasionally. If it continues to be worrying..seek advice for peace of mind 🙂
