Hiya ladies just a quick one I'm down for a hysterectomy and I was wondering how long will I wait to have my operation after sending off my pre assignment to you surgery letter? Xx

It depends on where you live. Most hospitals are 9 to 12 months but some women are waiting up to 18 months to 2 years. It also depends on why you are having it, level of pain and the consultant you're under x

I've been waiting 8 months so far and they have me down as urgent due to bleeding and pain levels x

I know x it's incredibly frustrating. I'm about to spent 10k on going private because I'm hemorrhaging all the time and they won't do it earlier. I understand. Keep ringing the hospital to ask where you are on the list and put your name down for any cancellations x you are nearly there.
