Simponi aria infusion
I’ve had two infusions and my RA is much better. The draw backs are my mouth mucosal is raw and dry. Eating only soft foods and lidocaine mouthwash to help. My eye dryness is good on some days. Still using prescription drops. I’m still loosing hair. All this with no pain is a Catch 22. Still fatigue

DVLA field tests
I have had glaucoma for over 30 years and my licence has had to be renewed every 3 year when I have to have a DVLA field test to renew my licence. I had my latest field test 16 months ago which I failed due to having 4 dots missing on the chart. My acuity is better than 20/20 vision and my pressures

worsening vision left eye
I posted earlier a few weeks ago about problems with my left eye, the vision getting worse. Far distance looked like my vision did before cataract surgery- not distinct. I also posted about an ER visit that happened two weeks ago because of severe vomiting, diarrhea, rapid heartbeat and dehydration

this has been suggested by the clinic nurse as not finding anti histamines to be helpful. My husband (Jak 2 pos, pv) has been tolerating Pegasys 45 mcg really well. Feels better than he had in ages. However after three weeks, he has become quite itchy (manageable during day) but it is waking him at night

Hi all, Im going for cataract surgery next week on my right eye. I’ve been advised to do very little for the first 4 days. Also that I’m not to bend over or lift anything , not to strain or cough to hard for about 4 weeks. My concern is that although I take daily laxatives, linzess and Movical there

Psychiatric Somatisation disorder suggested before thyroid dysfunction diagnosis?
Just out of interest, how many people have been fobbed off with a suggestion or diagnosis of a psychiatric/psychological disorder whilst trying to get a diagnosis of thyroid dysfunction? I think it must be quite common. When it happened to me I was shocked. (Can you believe it?!) At the time I found

Hello everyone, hoping to tap your wisdom. I'm experiencing my first flare (aching neck, shoulders, temples; thankfullyno visual symptoms) since getting off pred in early March 2024. Rheumy on call wants me to take 40mg now as protection against vision loss. I was diagnosed with cranial GCA and PMR

adalimumab side effects
Have been on adalimumab 2 weekly injections for nearly 3 months. Have noticed that I am losing an excessive amount of hair each time that I comb my hair. Also, I have been suffering from swollen legs /ankles over the past month without doing very much at all. Have previously needed to stop methotrexate

I am looking for advice/help in accepting the status quo, ie my sight journey. I lost sight in one eye due to an eye stroke in December 2022. I am scared and concerned incase my other eye is vulnerable. My optitician I went to first time said I had Gluacoma , and because I attend the eye clinic for observation

is yoga ok?
I’ve very recently been diagnosed with glaucoma after losing sight in the top half of my right eye, which has been a real shock. I’ve been going to Yoga and Pilates classes for a number of years, both of which I feel have helped with a back issue and have kept me fit and very active at 67, I’m loath

cataract
Hi all, I realise cataracts are commonplace from Steroid use . I’ve had one for years, possibly from a childhood eye injury. It’s now becoming a problem , affecting my sight. It’s Encapsulated, not as straightforward. My main concern is healing. It took a year for my leg to heal. Do you advise
