On husband's behalf
Hi I'm new to the site and I'm posting on my husband's behalf. He began to be ill last Christmas, loss of appetite with stomach pain which went round to his back on either side. At the same time he had blood in urine and was diagnosed with bladder cancer. After an endoscopy, CT scan and ultrasound

OSU Cycle 3, Week 4 Update
Week 4 was “Groundhog’s Day,” (a reference to a Bill Murray movie for those of you who don’t know what this means). I was back at OSU Monday night to make my one and only 8:00 am Tuesday appointment. This week, we escalated from 100 to 200 mg of venetoclax, and once again, it was rather uneventful. Like

Hi, Around 14 weeks ago I had oral and vaginal sex with an escort in UK. I went to my GUM clinic on the 12th day for a sexual health screening. I tested negative for bacterial infections (clamidya and gonnoreha). I saw a few spots developing on my right arm then. A few days later the spots spread

Cautiously optimistic.
Hello again from Northumberland. Now in between my 2nd and 3rd BCG treatments, and recently had another cystoscopy examination. No visual signs of my unwelcome bladder lodger, and significantly no cancerous cells detected in lab samples from my bladder washes. I think I have probably still got a long

Flu shots
Just curious . Skipped my flu shot last season as I apparently was sky high hypo at the time and was so fatigued I didn't think I could handle getting a shot. I never did get sick either surprisingly given my immune system felt shot down. How do people feel about flu shots and hypothyroidism.

What are your thoughts?
I was informed in a matter or fact way in November by the nurse on thecradons I was being asked to do some breathing tests when I went on requested for a flu jab. I was informed it was for my COPD which was news to me. I have been to hell and back emotionally with the disgnosis. I had been some months

Weak research
Underwhelmed by the small number of studies looked at for the article about autism and paracetamol. JAMA Pediatr. 2014 Apr;168(4):313-20. doi: 10.1001/jamapediatrics.2013.4914. Just diagnosed with PMR and concerned this will impact on my bladder cancer treatment -
Hi. I'm new here.... Does anyone know if there is a conflict of interest between Prednisolone and BCG treatment for bladder cancer? I was diagnosed with bladder cancer Nov 2015, had the tumour removed Dec 2015 and began 6 weeks of BCG treatment (a treatment instilled directly into bladder once a week

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Fish - Marine Omega-3 - EPA & DHA
This is a companion piece to "Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Fish", that considers marine omega-3 from seafood & supplements, & attempts to explain why it may be important in PCa, in spite of conflicting studies. Human studies have yielded confusing results. One might expect inconsistencies between populations

Update on my Bladder Cancer
I wish I had good news but don't, and I was prepared for this. The good news is I'm not terminal. I am stage 4 bladder cancer called Urothelial Carcinoma. I get a port put in place on Friday. Most likely start chemo a week from this coming Monday. I will also have a bone scan on Thursday to see if the

been there, done that...
I surprised myself at my lack of reaction when the urologist told me a had a tumor in my bladder- was just one more thing to do. had that surgery and a follow up one- then the seemingly endless series of BCG infusions and more inspections. the most uncomfortable parts of it are: wearing the cath after
