buprenorphine -what next
I’ve been on buprenorphine for about 2 months now. I take 600 micrograms. I have also been slowly reducing from pregabalin by 25 mg every two weeks and am now on 100mg. I had nausea when I started buprenorphine but that stopped after a couple of weeks only to return. I have totally lost my appetite

Is it ok to take azithromycin with paroxysmal Afb but no episodes for three years.
Consultant has prescribed azithromycin to be taken every three days because I did say I had an exacerbation two years ago, although I am not sure it actually was. Also this entails undergoing three ECGs a month apart. Don't like the sound off that. I also suffer mild bronchiectasis, so I suppose I am

Suspected Bechets - affecting me mentally & physically
Hello, So sorry for the long post! So my doctor believes I have Bechets and I am currently undergoing tests/waiting for results. I have suffered with horrendous mouth ulcers ever since I had glandular fever at the age of 19 (now 36), and after a couple of years back and forth to the doctors about it,

Three race reports in one
I ran two back to back 100m races at the Worthing Open on Tuesday this week and the next day I ran another 100m race at the Sussex Masters League in Eastbourne. This was a pretty tough ask as most of you know, I was coming back from a heavy dose of covid that wiped me out and just wouldn’t clear off

6th Covid jab
Hi there, hope you're doing fine in this heat. At least in my place we had lovely sunny days lately. Could I ask around, what's your opinion about me taking the 6th dose of Covid vaccine if only on 15 mg Metoject and not being considered severely immunosupresed. Would you go for it? On the 30th June

Buserelin and exhaustion!
Hi everyone, just started on my first cycle of IVF with ICSI. On day 9 of buserelin injections (although I took the wrong dose for the first 3 days - not enough) and experiencing incredible exhaustion. Have had early nights all week and went to bed last night at 7:30 so had nearly 12 hours sleep! I know

DSNS Taper Question
Hi all, At a recent visit to my Rheumy, he told me I'm ready to taper once again. At the time, I was at 7 MG PRED per day. I had been sick with Bronchitis for more than a month, and also had to care for my wife who contracted pneumonia a month before that, so I was not able to taper during that time

IVF vs ICSI
My husband and I are starting our first round of treatment early next year. We have MFI but have done lots of work over the last year to improve things. We’ve made lots of progress but my husband’s morphology remains at 0%. At our last IVF consultation, the dr said that with the current parameters we

Hi All It’s my first ICSI cycle and my first time using any kinda of forum so I’m looking for a little advice please? We had 2 embryos transferred on the 6/11, 1 was an early blastocyst (too early to grade) and the other a compacting modular. as you can see from the test below Day 8 gave us butterflies

Laparoscopy - is it needed? Experiences?
Hello I have been having ovulation induction treatment and am planning to start IVF soon. On a recent scan, a 5mm submucosal fibroid showed up and I was very lucky that my private health cover entitled me to an appointment and should cover the costs of surgery. I have had one chemical pregnancy but

Advice on increasing Pred for breathlessness and persistent cough
My GP told me that breathlessness is a symptom of PMR, so I can't seek her advice on how to manage this cough etc. Some people are saying that Eris Covid is around and it presents as a bad cough which does not show up as positive on home covid testing kits. I have had a persistent productive cough

Viral meningitis
My 17 year old daughter was diagnosed with viral meningitis last weekend and this was confirmed on Monday. Initially she was given antiviral and antibiotics because they was unsure if it was bacterial meningitis. She had been unwell for 5 or 6 weeks. Permanent headache that painkillers didn't touch
