chest infections ATM

Hope all my lung buddies are well atm. There are a-lot of respiratory bugs around at the moment. The hospitals are struggling. Please take extra care not to get near anyone with cold or flu symptoms.

being new to my diagnosis this is something I’ve got to get my head round to tell you the truth, I’ve never bothered before. I’ve not had one flu jab or covid jab and don’t think I will. I wear a scarf religiously though lol

I had a chest infection at the beginning of December, just before I was going away for 2 weeks in the sun. I phoned my GP she gave me a prescription for Steroids and Antibiotics, and strict instructions that if it didn't get better I was to seek medical help immediately. Luckily for me they worked and I had a wonderful holiday in Tenerife, and felt so much better for it too!

Ok here at the moment but thanks for posting Christie. Hope you’re well. We’ve had our flu jabs and all Covid jabs up to date. Going to get our MMR jabs next Thursday due to measles cases.

Take care, Carole xxxx

It's hard to avoid infectious people. They are everywhere- on buses, in the doctor's waiting room, even perhaps in my Pilates class. Hope you and the cats are well.

I can sympathise with all, I had a nasty chest infection over Christmas & now just tested positive for Covid, picked up in hairdressers.

Have barely got over 1st virus & fatigue that goes with it

Roll on spring & better health.

I've had Covid twice , and each time from the hairdressers. I'm a bit worried about going now. 😕 I hope you feel better soon!

My Mum was admitted to hospital a fortnight ago, low oxygen levels. She was discharged a week later after a mild pneumonia diagnosis. Two days later she was readmitted & the mandatory covid test gave a positive result! Obviously caught during her previous stay!

Thanks Kristycats and hope you are well. So many people with covid/flu travelling around now no wonder its spreading so quickly. I still use my nasal guard gel when going out and rinse my nose out when I get back home but think I will put my mask back in my pocket when I go out in future. Stay well x

You can say that again I’ve got Klebsiella pneumonie if I spelt that right. They are struggling to find an antibiotic to kill it but there’s always something.

Take care
