Workplace Injury
I work in the dental field and was trimming an imperino I was taking on a patient. When trimming the impression, he scalpel slipped and cut my finger fairly deeply. I checked the impression and there was no obvious blood contamination, likely only a small amount of saliva. After following proper protocol

Time to try some extended release?
I realize this comes up for discussion quite frequently, but I’m going to ask for some advice here for my particular situation. I was diagnosed January 14/ 2014 with idiopathic Parkinsons Disease, and purposefully avoided starting the C/L treatment as long as I felt I could. I don’t remember the exact

Thrush 3 days before FET
Hi everyone, I am booked for a natural FET on Monday (I didn't take anything this cycle, not even progesterone) and the Friday before I discovered that my discharge looked like cottage cheese and I may be getting thrush. Which I haven't had in years! Has this happened to anyone else before their FET

Hi there! I have a sad story to tell about the last 6 months. I had a severe kidney stone infection (and UTI) in the spring. I was slowly doing better on my new thyroid medication (Erfa), but the infection caused bacteremia/urosepsis and I developed severe confusion. I had started taking my thyroid

Covid-19 jab - book now or wait
In the UK, the Government is rolling out its autumn Covid-19 vaccination programme and encouraging those eligible to book their appointment as soon as possible. Does anyone know how long you have to leave it after rutuximab before having the shingles vaccine. I had infusion in December & my GP has never offered this or the pneumonia jab so was going to chase this up. Tia

Polite request to not post or comment on Covid vaccine unless it's specific to PMR or GCA
Dear forum members, please avoid comments or debates about the covid vaccine unless it's very specifically related to a PMR or GCA question. Comments that fall outside of this will be removed. If you want to discuss vaccines in general, covid or otherwise, please do so on another site. We don't have

I could have PMR…
I posted back in September for some invaluable advice from you lovely people. I suspected I might have PMR but after being in hospital and treated for ‘infection’ which is what the doctors said I had I thought no more about it. I had high inflammation markers which were thought to be due to infection

Wary of covid autumn booster
Hi, You can read from my profile that I am aware that there COULD be a link between the Pfizer jab (Comirnaty) that I had in November 2021 and the onset of PMR soon after. I had had two AstraZenica jabs prior to this earlier in 2021 with no adverse effects whatsoever. While on 6mg prednisolone, in

The Plot Thickens…
I posted a few days ago about shoulder pain. It has got worse and is in both shoulders and is affecting my neck. It is far worse in the morning. My Osteopath gave me a private doctor’s contact details so I could see them for a cortisone injection. I had the appointment this morning and it turned out

Should I have a Covid booster?
Hi, I’m new to posting on this forum though I regularly read everything posted. I have been very grateful for what I have learned about AFib since it is not easy to find practical information about living with the condition. I am 99.9% certain my AFib was caused by the Pfizer covid vaccine and the electrophysiologist

Covid vaccination brand
I was diagnosed with ANCA+ Vasculitis 15 years ago. Currently treated with rixathon every 7 -12 months. I used to be treated with rituximab but that affected my memory. My concern is the Pfizer Covid vaccination because it gives me a leg rash - Livedo reticularis, which worsens each time and never

***HELP NEEDED DESPERATELY*** My precious daughter was unfortunately diagnosed with Multiple Hepatic Adenomas in November 2021. She has currently got 12 of these tumours in her liver. In January 2022 she had a liver resection, as the largest tumour was hemorrhaging at the time. The right half of her

A BIG Hi to you all. I’d like to introduce myself. My nick name is Big H and my journey started in 2021 with a covid pneumonia. I was in a pub when we were allowed to go out, it’s the only place I had attended before contracting Covid Pneumonia. I just remember it was like having the worse flu and

just need a friend
hi everyone. based on my last posts you know I’ve been working on my anxiety. I recently did an IOP group which I found so helpful. This weekend on Friday I went out with my friends and drank more than I should have and had a panic attack about getting sick, but didn’t get sick. Yesterday I did a tasting
