Holiday time
Well I'm out of hospital. I'm going travelling for as long as possible. First stop AMERICA then Israel and Egypt. No point crying over my death sentence. Now time to blow some money and have fun.

Dad's neurologist had him see palliative care for evaluation, basically they said there is nothing medically they can do. The doctor in palliative care was very nice, listened and appeared genuinely concerned but offered nothing really in the way of help. She does want to try a different med called

The Brighter Side of PMR: 'Thunderbirds Are GO? - but cautiously. Update on my 5-4-3-2-1 mgpd (or whatever) Pred reductions... ;-)
Warm Greetings to 'You Lot', whoever and wherever you are. As always: this Post is less about celebrating my progress than sharing some 'news' - in case you can relate to, or gain some insights from it. Here goes: If you haven't read my previous posts (I don't blame you if not..) about a recent breakthrough

Nightn nappy or not for my 7yr old
Hi I'd really appreciate some advice. My 7 year old daughter has pretty much always been wet at night. When she was about 5 we started using a reward chart system, it was a bit hit and miss but she would have episodes of 5 dry nights in a row etc... Then we moved house and her bed wetting escalated to

Steroid-induced diabetes
I'm feeling v discouraged, last couple of days because, despite noticeably reducing Pred - now on 12mg ->> 11mg - my steroid-induced diabetes seems to be getting worse instead of better. My blood sugars are creeping up; not disastrous, but are hovering around 14mmol/l at all times - too high. This is

Palliative care - transition
I usually think of transition from primary to secondary school but I'm finding the transition to palliative care hard as it's tough to leave the oncology team and get to know a new crowd. I'm wondering if there's a way it could be made easier. I'd visited the hospice before (helped with their LGBTI

Going home
I'm being released From the hospital today. The Electrophyologist said that all my rythms changed drasticly for the better and he is extremely pleased at what he saw. He said that The possibility of me being shocked is now minimal. Which I am thankful. I am also now part of a permanent study for the

Surgery went well
The sympthectomy went well. They did left side only. I have a. Chest rude since it was easier to collape my lung to get to the proper nerves. I don't feel panicky at all. I do feel my heart beating only because I'm in a little pain. From here out it will be a daily diary for everyone to read. Perhaps
