Functional Neurological Disorder - FND Hope
5,648 members
FND Hope supports patients and families impacted by Functional Neurological Disorder. We advocate for the men, women, and children who have had their lives turned upside down with physical and often debilitating symptoms. Many of which, were sent home with little information and the reassurance that it will go away on its own. We give FND patients a voice, we lend them our ear. We give everyone a place to call their own and a place to feel secure. We give our members the courage to keep going and the strength they need to endure each day. Most of all… We give them hope.
Epilepsy Australia
171 members
Epilepsy Australia is the national coalition of Australian Epilepsy Associations raising our voices as one to advance the cause of all Australians living with epilepsy. Actively delivering counseling, support and information to all who access our services, Epilepsy Australia is committed to raising awareness and understanding of the very real issues faced by those living with epilepsy. The unpredictable nature of seizures can force people to stay at home, fearful of a seizure occurring in public. Would you know what to do if you saw someone having a seizure? A goal of Epilepsy Australia is for every household in Australia to be seizure aware. Our challenge is to build on the success of our Seizure First Aid Awareness Campaign where more than 20,000 Seizure First Aid Kits were delivered to households Australia-wide.

Vasculitis UK is the UK's number one Vasculitis charity, run by people with Vasculitis for people with Vasculitis. We promote a national network of support groups, have a website, social media resources and a near 24 hour helpline that all help the trust to achieve its aims; offering support to sufferers, their families and friends both at home and abroad by providing information, advice and the means to contact each other. We work with other organisations and medical professionals to improve the recognition, diagnosis and treatment of Vasculitis. We raise awareness of Vasculitis among medical professions and the general population. We encourage and support the formation and development of local independant Vasculitis support groups. We raise funds in order to support research into the causes and effects of vasculitis, into improvements in the diagnosis of vasculitis and into the treatment of people suffering from all the different types of vasculitis.

Melanoma Support Ireland

Melanoma Support Ireland is a Peer led support organisation. We were set up by a group of Irish melanoma patients who wish to offer and gain support from others patients or family members living with a diagnosis of melanoma in Ireland. We do not offer medical advice but we welcome you to share your experiences in our group. Peer support is incredibly important for patients and can help cope with feelings of isolation and fear especially when dealing with a diagnosis of cancer. We look forward to interacting with you and encourage you to share your experiences and any links you may have that will help support our members. Any information provided on the forum needs to be from a verifiable scientifically proven source as we do not allow posts about alternative unproven cures in our group.
