Can anyone shed some light on home haemodialysis? Or any advice would be great! my dad is currently on Haemodialysis (via central line) done in hospital. He has been told he needs to do longer hours & home haemo is an option!

Do you have a in home care giver or are you solo? How long did it take to get comfortable with the process or do you ever get comfortable with it?

I was afraid that they were going to toss me home before I was ready. Nope. I will probably be training there for another couple of weeks, or as long as I need. Then THEY COME TO ME IN MY HOME FOR AS LONG AS I NEED. I was shocked to hear that.

I've been doing haemodialysis for a little over 3 years. And I have been like clock work never missing a session. But lately I'm wanting to give up. I'm struggling with my dry weight and I was wondering if anyone has felt like this or is going through this. Quita55

I certified (last month) to deliver home haemodialysis with the local trust, determined to do whatever I can to help her. But even this small comfort is being held up by bureaucratic red tape at our local trust ("might not be until Christmas due to budget for a reverse osmosis machine").
