Third episode of persistent AF in 6 months
I had a successful cardioversion on Christmas eve and then another one just 4 weeks ago. Gutted because I went into persistent AF again yesterday. I take Edoxaban and have tried to take Flecainide but it makes me dizzy and very sick. I tried the "pill in pocket " yesterday but it did not work.

Overmedicated but low temperature readings?
Morning everyone! I've attached my last blood test results from March again. I have Hashimoto's and my doctor is still insisting I'm overmedicated (due to my low TSH level, which has been that low, or lower, for about nine years) but I don't feel good and my temperate is anything from 35.2 to 35.6

Ropinirole
First timer. Been recently put on Ropinirole, not realising what a unpleasant drug it is. Yes it stops the RLS but I felt completely weird in the morning and would out of the blue feel so tired in the day. So I dropped from two tablets to one at night which is much better, but I will still get twitching

Don’t want to take the drugs
Have had secondary osteoporosis for many years, and my T-scores continue to decline. Just had another dexa scan yesterday, and lost 1/2 inch in height. Had serious problems with Fosamax 20+ years ago. Currently on HRT estrogen only patch. Am certain when I go back to both primary and endocrinologist

Hi everyone I'm new to the group 😊 has anyone had their work contract terminated due to time off with endometriosis?
I've been off work now for 17 weeks and on Tuesday got asked to attend a meeting with work. basically they told me that as I can't give them a date when I will return to work then I will be terminated due to ill health. I've worked for the company for over 17 years and over the past few years had a

Should I start on adalimumab
Hi all, I've had RA for about 25years and after a few poorly years have been relatively stable on ( mostly)25mg Mxt, with a knee replacement and wrist surgery along the way. Since December I have been having fairly regular flare ups, one of which put me in A & E with a high CRP level & severe pain.

GP recommends HRT, but still have periods - is this advisable?
HRT: I'm 48, juggling various health/autoimmune-type symptoms, low iron, low energy. Was chatting to a GP today (different one from usual) about getting a sick note, and she suggested trying HRT even though I still have periods. She's written me a prescription, but I'm super wary as a) I don't trust

Aviva - Excluding Endometriosis as a "Chronic" Condition
Hello I'm hoping someone could give me advice or be able to provide some support during this tough time which my wife is going through. I'm doing my very best to support her but feel like I can't do enough most of the time. I know we are lucky in that we have private medical insurance through my work

A prime example of bad misleading research
A little bit of scientific comment and analysis to discriminate plausible papers from rubbish. In the latest journal Thyroid I've picked out a paper that could mislead readers in its misuse of statistical analyses These are the kind of sloppy papers that all too easily get picked on as support for

Breathing and coughing excercises
I've noticed in a lot of responses to questions that people recommend carrying on with their breathing and coughing excercises following open heart surgery. I wasn't given any after my surgery and am wondering what these excercises consist of as I still have breathing problems following my valve replacement
