Hello. I discovered I have high blood pressure in March this year. I tried Ramipril 2.5mg but I noticed tinnitus developing, plus it wasn’t effective so I changed to amlodipine 5mg, not effective, increased dose to 10mg, ankles started swelling plus palpitations, plus not hugely effective, so switched

I have it so severe, I'm up till 3 am after going to bed at 10 PM, doing squats and running up and down the stairs trying to fatigue my muscles. I've cried and thought

Chia seeds
are a wonderful

Lipomas
Random question: Has anyone had a lot of lipomas post diagnosis of ITP or post splenectomy? I have recently started getting what I thought were swollen lymph nodes on my chest, shoulders and arms, but my GP seems to think they are lipomas. Just wondering if any one else had this happen.

The consultant told me that if I'm taking medication for hypothyroidism then the link between lipid issues and thyroid no longer apply. All the tests show that my cholesterol levels are too high despite taking

Machine Learning Tackles Heart Disease Risk Assessment
Machine learning is the process of taking lots of data about a subject, splitting it into around 75% and 25% and then training the computer on the 75% where it knows the result we want to predict eg did someone get heart disease, and then asking it to make predictions on the unseen 25%. We can then

Latest blood report.
Hi all, I got my blood investigations done and report came yesterday. My Hba1c is 5.9 now!. From 16.4 in Jan'17 to 5.9 in jun'18 has been a long but interesting journey of trial and errors. I'm on LCHF diet and my total cholesterol also improved. Now it is 152. Food is the new medicine!😊

Prednisone & Diverticulitis
I’ve had to completely change my diet to a
high
fiber
diet. It’s really a shame that all the GOOD
food
is bad for you while all the nasty stuff is good. I got out of the hospital last Sat. & I’m still on a full liquid diet, YUCK 🤢....
