I went for my appointment on Friday. I actually saw the top man, it was a quick one. He has given me an injection called Praluent (alirocumab). It is reasonably new only been in the public use for 2years, trails for 8 years. I have to wait for delivery and then a nurse to show me how to do it even tho I've already got 2 pens that i self administer. This is after he told me to stop the statins due to muscle pain. The bad cholesterol had gone up to 5.4 i believe and he wants it down to 2. Which i thought was a bit low. He also did the test for senile dementia, which i'm glad to say i passed flying colours. There was also a paper i had to fill in which was on the same lines.
I just have to wait for the phone calls now for delivery. Hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather. X

May I suggest you avoid this drug and its side effects. Dietary and lifestyle changes will acheive the same results without the danger. This is a new drug and its long term damage is unknown.
