Next steps on my GP journey - advice please!
Hi everyone, I've just made another appointment with my GP now my blood test results are back. I'm told there are 'no abnormal issues', but I can't have a copy of them until I've spoken to the GP. (So no idea really!) My symptoms all remain from my previous post over 2 weeks ago, hence me requesting

Help with interpreting daughter's blood results
Hello, I would like some help with understanding my daughter's blood results. She is undiagnosed but symptomatic. She will be on Vit D loading dose shortly as that is very low. Like me (in a separate post I'm also requesting help for my own blood tests) she has the MTHFR gene which I understand affects

Vitamin D
Good afternoon, I have been asked by my gp to take an over the counter B vitamin supplement that contains at least 400mcg of folic acid. I managed to buy Thorne Basic B complex with folate but I am finding the tablets difficult to swallow because of their size. Can anyone recommend another brand of vitamin

low tsh but freezing cold
6 weeks ago my levothyroxine was increased to 100mg daily (to 700mg weekly from 500mg). My tsh has fallen to 0.12, (previously 0.9 mid Jan 23 and 1.52 in Sept 22) my serum free t4 has remained the same at 16.9. I don’t have a t3 result. For the last two weeks I have been feeling chilled to the bone

Looking for support - glioblastoma
Hi, My 72 year old wife was recently diagnosed with a grade 4 glioma / glioblastoma. Short history is one hospital wanted to dive right in and do surgery. A 2nd opinion initially ruled it as inoperable after a biopsy. Then they did some tests to determine viability of an "awake" surgical resection.

New testing available at Tesco
I just spotted this on social media. Vit D test is only £8 and for just a TSH test £10. I'll look into what else they offer that might be of use. With any luck they might expand it to include full thyroid function? https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/newfoundland-tesco-covid-nhs-holly-williams-b2290046

Help with latest blood results - big TSH increase
Hi lovely people, Once again, please can I call on your brilliant minds to help me decipher my latest blood results 🙏 My TSH has made a huge jump - from 0.06mcg in my previous test (October 22) to 2.61mcg last week. Any thoughts on why this has happened? Up to now, my optimum levo dose has been 100mcg

Advice on lowering high-ish saliva cortisol levels
Hello wonderful people! I've read a few posts here about lowering cortisol levels. Mine is not too high, but it is still elevated on the saliva test and results in symptoms like elevated blood pressure from time to time, high pulse from time to time which stops me from sleeping, tired-but-wired feeling

Hi all. This site seems to be a great resource of information. My head is swirling with the mostly unexpected diagnosis I got yesterday. Although I do not have details yet, the labels were osteoporosis in the spine and ostopenia in the hip. I was in a high impact bike accident in August and to no

Wandering Scot presently living in Mexico and recently diagnosed with PMR
I was diagnosed a few weeks ago with PMR after being first told I had gout and then it was emotional. Pain in my neck and shoulders and exhaustion had been going on for about 9 months but I kept thinking I was sitting the wrong way at my computer or sleeping the wrong way so would take an over-the-counter
