New guidelines on astrazeneca covid vaccinations
new guidelines. 7 september 2022 U.k. government released document regarding astrazeneca vaccination. It is in boxes and advice to doctors and pharmacies. UK have stopped this vaccine, but it does state that they should ask what medicines a person is on plus if they have had another vaccination recently

FLU Jab FLARE
I am beginning to dread annual vaccines and Covid boosters. Each time I have a vaccination, I have a PMR flare. This one started slowly, (day 3, post jab), and grew over 6 more days, to undeniable flare. Severe hip and shoulder pain and stiffness, could hardly walk! I Boosted pred dose up to

Off Topic..dotting ‘I’s and crossing ‘T’s?
Attended for my 6th Covid vaccination yesterday at a clinic specifically for ‘Over 75s’, according to the forms we were asked to complete. The 3rd question asked, “Are you or could you be pregnant?” Mmmmm….! Btw; a flu jab was being offered to all at the same time…the Covid jab was Moderna bivalent.

Children’s live flu nasal spray
Morning, my Granddaughters are about to have their annual flu jab, which here in the UK is a live nasal spray. I know I need to keep away from them for a while, but cannot find anything on the NHS website to suggest how long for. Does anyone know or have had experience of this? Thanks

order of vaccinations
I had a relatively mild form of COVID in August which cleared up in a week with Paxlovid. My surgery is doing the flu vaccination on 8 Oct and I can have the 2nd shingles vaccination anytime after 21 September. Meanwhile the over 50s are being offered a COVID booster, but I suppose having had the infection

imuran
I have been on Imuran 50mg for over 3 years and will be on it another 2 for autoimmune hepatitis. I also have PBC and take ursodiol for that. Imuran has lowered my liver levels and has kept them stable for me. It suppresses your immune system but it’s manageable. My dr is hoping that after being on it

As I'm in my early 70's I qualify in the optimum age group to receive the Shingles Vaccination, but on looking at info about the vaccination I found there are 2. Info below copied from the NHS website: "There are 2 shingles vaccines available in the UK:Zostavax, a live vaccine given as 1 doseShingrix

imuran /Azathioprine
i’ve been started on Imuran/Azathioprine, for arthritis. I will have to be monitored closely, with labs due to my PBC. I was wondering if anyone else had their liver enzymes(inflammation), Get better while on this medication? My hepatologist, and Rheumatologist . Both agree, that if monitored closely

Upcoming vaccinations for flu and Covid
Hello everyone, This is my first post on the forum so hope it goes ok. My question is concerning the booster jab for Covid and, the usual, flu vaccination. This afternoon my local medical centre sent texts regarding the above, encouraging me to book dates for the vaccinations. I always have a flu

Covid autumn booster and flu vaccs
Having said I'd have my flu and covid booster separately I've just booked to have both at once at our surgery. Has anyone strong feelings either way? I've never had reactions to any of covid jabs ( Astra Zeneca Moderna or Pfizer) or to any flu jab.

Autumn booster and flu jab invite
Finally got my follow up with rheumy nurse next week on Tuesday so will ask this week with everything else I need to ask. But I’ve just had a text from my gp with a link to book my flu jab and autumn covid booster. I’ve not been told I am immunosuppressed, or that I’m more at risk and I’m only on

flu jab and Levothyroxine timings
Hello everyone, the invitations to have the ‘flu jab have started to be sent out, I’m assuming it’s best to leave minimum 4 hours following Levothyroxine morning dose? This will be my first experience of the jab since I started Levo.

Covid Booster
I had a message from my GP Surgery yesterday with an appointment for my booster. I think there has been some discussion about having a flu jab at the same time. This invitation was only for my booster. The surgery normally starts flu jabs in October.

Autumn vaccinations
I am trying to find information about best timing for the autumn Covid booster and flu vaccinations in UK? I booked both online through NHS site with no problem ll, but at different pharmacies and with a 3 day interval. As my son living elsewhere in UK has been contacted by his surgery to have both

Hi everyone, This is my first post here - and grateful to find you all! I have stage one liver chirrhosis as a result of having hepatitis C - which I cleared in 2016 - In January this year after an episode of finding black stools, I had an investigative endoscopy finding 4 grade 2 oesophagus varices

chicken pox and pmr
My granddaughter has just been diagnosed with chicken pox. It’s her first birthday tomorrow and the following day, a party and bbq was planned. This may go ahead in a shortened form as she appears only mildly affected. My question is - am I at risk of catching chicken pox (severely) if I am in the same
