Weird ear for over a year, saw ENT ordered MRI straight away, got one tomorrow after a couple of weeks.. Symptoms suddenly worse this week
About a year ago i went to a gp about a weird feeling in my left ear, thinking she would say it was blocked she didnt even look in but noticed my glands were swollen so said i had a viral infection and it will clear up soon... So i left it at that (kinda felt silly going) The blocked feeling has continued

She was afraid I had a blood clot even though they had been given me shots of
heparin
. One more test a Chest CT. Good news bad news. No blood glut but I did have 3 fractured ribs. Still a mystery why they didn't show up on my chest x-ray. The high level of steroids was masking my rib pain.

Heparin to Warfarin Bridging
On the fourth day I am supposed to inject 5,000 units of
heparin
and so on till I've reached my target INR. I trust my haematologist completely but am nervous that 15,000 of
heparin
plus 12 mg warfarin is a lot. Any thoughts?

Had an MRI scan now they say I need a CT scan
I developed pulsating tinnitus in December mainly in my left ear. Since then I have learned to live with it but having tests. The first one was a hearing test - slight hearing loss. Next an MRI on Sunday. On Tuesday I got a message to say that a CT scan had been arranged for this Thursday. I phoned to

Update and Raw Spinach Question ;D)
I guess after my PE I was on
Heparin
to begin with so that's another reason why it's taking longer to get to where we want it. They kept me on the 5 mg two more nights and I retest tomorrow. Thanks in advance for your input!

Anyone had Azithromycing please?
Hi After I've had a hearing test already had ACG my specialist will be trying me on Azithromycing. Been prescribed as specialist thinks asthma is driven by infection, I suffer badly with tree & grass pollen. Just wondering if anyone has been on it and how they coped with it.

Since then I had
heparin
for 6 months and Apixaban now because I don't want to come off blood thinners. My haematology consultant says after months of blood testing that I have no clotting conditions and that this was due to pregnancy.

CFX ( chromogenic Factor X) Assay
I was origionaly only positive for aCL and B2GP1, but developed a large DVT about a week after the second set of tests came back positive, so was hospitalized with
heparin
IV and bridged to oral warfarin for life, so could never be tested for LAC Antibody activity again accurately.

Help please
I bought hearing aids from SpecSavers about 5 years ago. They have never given me good speech hearing. They want me to buy new ones. I have decided to try NHS, I have a hearing test booked for tomorrow. However, I am not opposed to paying for aids if they can give me better hearing. How do I find

Hello, would love some information. New here and new to Tinnitus
Hey all, I woke up with tinnitus a few months ago, in both ears. I thought maybe its just stress as there was (and is) building works going on at home. After a month or so I went to the doctors (I am a singer-songwriter and guitar teacher by trade) I explained about the tinnitus and was referred

Lupus anticoagulant test
I have developed problems since not being able to tolerate warfarin and the
heparin
injections. I now have an enlarged fatty liver of which I suspect became toxic due to the medication of which has now been withdrawn and I am now back on aspirin and clopidogrel.

Nattokinase or serrapeptase instead of usual blood thinners
I was wondering if I can take them during an episode as a blood thinner instead of injected
heparin
as doc suggested. I am 0 in CHAD'S score and my afib is one episode after 3 months usually after emotional stress.

Factor X Chromogenic Assay (FXC): I have this. It renders my “true vein value INR “ one full number lower than it actually is.
I did the math- increased my warfarin by 1/4 mg, and started injecting
heparin
... I’m shooting blind... God help me. Or perhaps someone here who knows about this?!?! I see my GP Wednesday. I’m very ill. ( I’ve noticed I feel my best when FP value is 5.5.

always had good hearing but now struggling to hear if people speak quietly or have their backs to me. GP very quick at referring me for hearing test which found my hearing was within normal limits & hearing aids won't help. Am now waiting for Consultant appointment with ear, nose and throat.

Pregnant with PV, JAK2+, weird family history
The plan is to stick with the aspirin/exercise/monthly phlebotomy until the baby's almost due, then to switch from aspirin to either
heparin
or interferon-alpha for the last week or two before delivery. After delivery, he'll let me stick with something that won't affect the baby via breastmilk.
