Hello friends! I'm using Google translate now. I hope you will understand. I have a question that I can not find an answer to online. It's about stem cell transplantation. If this were to happen at some point in the future, how precise/exact does a match need to be? My parents have different ethnic

Post surgical stretching
I am now 2 weeks post open heart surgery for AVR. I have read on this site NOT to raise my arms above shoulder height as part of cardiac rehab, yet US hospital sites do recommend raising an arm alternatively over head to keep shoulders etc moving. Thoughts pls? I am starting to ache in my neck and shoulder

10 days afib now finished HR too low?
After 10 days of seeing heart rate mainly over 100 but zooming up and down, it is now on the 50s and little energy to move. Presumable the Bisoprolol working too well. Is this normal? I am not faint or dizzy

Fisiocrem
Has anyone tried fisiocrem? Sounds a bit like deep heat. I wondered if it's OK to use alongside pred. I'm not holding out much hope for it but I'm willing to try anything to sort out my neck ache! Here's the description of it: "Fioscrem soothing massage rub for use on tense and contracted muscle areas

The importance of speaking to the right person & being persistent.
Well I went back into AFib 9 days after CV. Tachycardia, breathless ,light headed. I phoned the Arrythmia nurses number & was told it is a shame it didn't work but to get my Gp to do an ECG & send it to email. They would look at it & go from there.Probably decide to do a 24 monitor & see me in clinic.Waiting

Not to complain, but . . . maybe I need some reassurance?
I had a rough time in the recovery period from my cryo ablation at the end of June last year, after a promising start. Then, since October last year I've had a lovely period without any major problems. Sure, I'm sensitive now to whatever my heart is doing, and when I lie down in bed I can feel my heart

I'm a bit Scared, to be honest😥
Dear All, Several of my neighbours, we only have eighteen flats, have had/ currently 'have' COVID. Now I know that this 'Variant' isn't as Serious- to Most People that is! However I am Immune Suppressed, due to BOTH Vasculitis AND a Kidney Transplant (in July 2013).Clearly IF I DO contract, this disease

Open heart surgery recovery
I am 56 years old and pretty fit (apart from my heart valve issue!) and have just had valve replacement by open heart surgery. Keen to understand the recovery time for chest pain reduction post surgery? Is it weeks or months?

Recently got fever and went back admitted to the hospital with an infection. After some testing, they found have Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and sent

Status Update Post-atrial Cardioäblation:
Had rapid atrial quivering/fibrillation develop in Feb '21 while I was focused on avoiding a second heart attack after having had a major one 9½ years earlier. Got put on meds to see if AFib could be managed that way but worsened to the point that by Aug, my heart was tracked at 244 BPM and I'd collapsed

A little update: Finally some good news! 🎉😊
So we are currently 28 weeks pregnant (by far the furthest we’ve ever got). Anyone following our story on the other forum will know it has been a long one and the pregnancy itself has been a complicated one throughout! Our little one has been diagnosed with TGA (a severe heart defect that will require

Coming off drugs b4 ablation
I’m on amlodipine (Ca channel blocker) and metoprolol (beta blocker). Plus flecainide (Na channel blocker). All fairly low doses. I have to come off them before my fourth ablation for four days so not looking forward to that. Anyone experienced withdrawal symptoms doing same?
