High ALT levels
Hello I recently had a full blood test as I have been having on going muscle pains, all my results came back OK apart from my ALT levels. They were 20ul 3 weeks ago and 67ul yesterday. All my other liver functions were in the normal range. Is this something to be worried about? I do have a doctors appointment

Has anyone had a Jak2 Blood Test for blood disorders?
Hi I've had high Platelets for years about 20 at least on every blood test. GP always just said your Platelets are high but we know that! rheumy often mentioned it too. Recently I have been seen in Endocrinology (in a different hospital to my rheumatology team) & been having regular blood tests since

T3 only and feeling a bit desperate
I have been taking T3 only for a handful of years now and for a couple of them on a LCHF diet I was happy enough. I lost weight, and felt good. In October 2020 I restarted HRT (I still had/have) hot flushes, but within 2 months I had started to gain weight and on balance I thought that I would rather

GGT level
Hi, I was told that in 2015 I had a fatty liver from having a scan for suspected gall stones. I wasn't told much more and no advice or follow up given. Last year I started getting pain and a kind of tight feeling on my right side just under my lowest rib. Gp did some blood tests and said nothing came

Access to Blood Test results on line.
Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone in the UK can tell me if there is any other way I can see my blood test results on line other than GP’s app, “My GP”. and NHS app. Up until six months ago I had access to all blood test results and previous ones which I liked for comparison. However, the GP’s Surgery

Should I stop Ferrous Fumarate before Blood Test?
Hi, I was prescribed Ferrous Fumarate after my last bloods showed very low in ferritin levels (I'm Hashi's). I'm due my follow up routine blood test for thyroid levels and ferritin / iron next week. Do I need to stop taking the Ferrous Fumarate ahead of the blood test? Thanks so much

Macrocytic Anemia?
Hi, I am posting here for my Mom. She had blood work every year with perfect results until last year in September when the Hemoglobin/RBC/Hemocrit started dropping. She never had anemia before. In March of this year MCV and MCH started going up and be higher then normal. I took her to a hematologist

Allele Test for PV by Blood?
I went to my Hematologist today and asked whether there was an allele blood test for PV and the response I received was no. I thought I had read on these boards about such a blood test existed and it was not necessary to do a bone marrow biopsy. Does anybody know?

At what point for scan ?
Hi. Currently just had # 4 chemo. Live in Canada so PSMA has never been done . Bone scan and CT scan. I'm wondering at what point it would be good to get a scan ( they already said it would probably be a CT scan as that's all we have in my province and eventually another bone scan which He has to fly

Testosterone levels
Hi. Is a testosterone level of 11.2 in a blood test a concern. My gp says no but symptoms are fatigue, muscle loss, low sex drive, brain fog and anxiety. They said no to trt but interested if this is low level or if the nhs won't fund the treatment unless they have to. Thanks

Hypersensitive Pneumonitis Due to Construction Dust
Hi everyone, I’ve just received a diagnosis after a crazy past 3 days. I have a new housing estate being built in the field adjacent to my house. The work has been ongoing for a couple of years but started at the furthest end. Last autumn as the work became viewable from our home I noticed I was suffering

Hashimoto's blood test and cortisol tests
I have been asked by my GP Surgery to provide them with the list of blood tests I believe are correct for a patient with Hashimoto's. I don't seem to be able to find it. Would someone be kind enough to show me where I may find it please? Is it the same as under active blood test or are there 'extras'

Angular Cheilitis?
Just wondering if anyone suffers from Angular Cheilitis with their RA keep getting it and mentioning to the GP but he just ignored it. I've had my B12 checked and it was ok. I've read sulfasalazine can cause it. I'm also on Benepali jab once a week. Ive also read it could be folate levels but I think
