Good morning all,This is my first post although I have found the site very helpful during my journey, and thank everyone for sharing their experiences. It's very helpful to know yo are not alone. I have recently started niraparib after surgery and chemo, initially side effects minor, slightly raised

every test under the sun but no apparent cause for elevated liver numbers
Hi. I’m posting for a friend in case anyone here has experienced something similar. She’s in her early 30s and healthy. her liver panel shows elevated numbers but she has no fatty liver, negative for any hep c/b, has done all liver related autoimmune tests and all are negative. Has been to a few centers

update on rls treatment
Gp has put me on 20mg Norspan patches and I am having acupunture and reflexology as well. Shumbah has suggested applying the sesame oil on troublesome leg....I have started that and will keep you informed....I have only been doing it for a week, but I think it is having some effect. Using up my B1 Thiamine.
I never got the hang of knowing when I used up my B12 as some experience. Likely as I was also B1 deficient. The only way to determine if you are B1 deficient is to do a trial. The blood test is useless. Functional Deficiency of a Vitamin may be nothing more than a work around for not understanding

Information about frequency of injection
Hi I posted about a sudden deterioration in my health after 4 years of successful self-injection eod, daily or twice a week (depending on how I was doing). My last post questioned whether it was due to a bad batch of B12 depot - unfortunately, using newly ordered B12 doesn't seem to be making an improvement

A recent consultation with a CLL specialist, and confirmation of genetic markers
My wife had an appointment with CLL specialist Dr. C. Chen yesterday. We also performed other blood tests. I had a pleasant consultation with Dr. Chen. I was perplexed because of the TP53 mutation, whether it was discovered or not. I posted an earlier post that she has a TP53 mutation. I am sorry for

inflammation on hydroxychloroquine and 5mg of prednisolone
hello, I saw my rheumatologist today after complaining about my painful hands and wrists. The doctor mentioned that I don’t show any signs of inflammation on my hands or anywhere else. The reason I am confused is because I have been on hydroxychloroquine and prednisolone since September of last year

Xpo1 significance
Not been active for a while as my wife is on watch and wait since initially being diagnosed two years ago at 41.Eric blood panels have come back with Xpo1 mutation which we are told significantly increases the chances of needing treatment. Going through the details we got but there seems to be a trial

Stage 4, GL 9 seeking advice
After 10 months without pain, I'm starting to have pain in my back. Orgovyx and Zytiga have appeared to keep the cancer relatively quiet until now. Next month I turn 87. I'm quite healthy, apart from Prostate cancer. I have no illusions about a cure but would like to have as many QOL days as possible

FET next week but Follicles might have stopped that? Advice needed
so I’m having some issues. I’m a surrogate with 1 pregnancy under my belt from a frozen embryo transfer. The first time I used Progynova 2mg 3x a day. Then after the baseline scan, it was prog & cyclogest until the transfer day. Today I’m starting the process again and I have the same medication cycle

Do I Poke The Bear?
I had my B12 jab last week, I get these every 2 months and am grateful to have them. I've suffered B12 issues since childhood, have dim memories of blood tests and B12 jabs back in the day. I changed surgeries in the early 90's due to moving and have been with this practice ever since. So I'm not sure

No health issues before diagnosis, now everything is a little scary
Sorry, I can’t give any current thyroid results as am on some medication for an abscess which affects blood results . Am still on 50mcg. Since diagnosis from scan initially last December I have been diagnosed with diabetes , which I’m not happy about really . I had one blood test which was 51, then given

PMR - Tales of the Unexpected
I’d been suffering with what I thought was a severe PMR flare for weeks and weeks (very stiff leg muscles and sharp cramps especially in the thighs). I was of 5mg Prednisolone daily and was hoping as with past incidents it would settle down and things would return to normal. It didn’t so I eventually

Stopping ezetemibe
1 year post NSTEMI and stent and finally had a call from cardiologist. Basically all fine thankfully. They said I could stop ezetemibe but stay on 40mg atorvastatin. Bit confused as NHS website says ezetemibe is for life. My cholesterol numbers are good ( LDL 1, ratio 1.9, total 2.5, triglycerides 0.4

beta result 60.8
Hello, just wanted peoples opinions. I had a day 3 transfer on the 30th of April and had my beta blood test yesterday which has come back as 60.8. My clinic would like me to do another blood test tomorrow morning. She said she’s ‘cautiously optimistic’ but when I look at the range for beta results I

Angry after GP appt
I feel so angry after seeing the GP this morning about other blood tests. It was again not my GP, I am going to start asking only to see my GP so I know what I am dealing with. We ended up discussing my thyroid symptoms and he kept circling back to "we shouldn't discount what the mind can do" and "it
