Starting Statins.
I’ve had permanent AF for three years, now 78 and am on Apixaban and low dose bisoprolol as well as thyroxine and pramipexole for RLS . After recent blood tests Surgery decided I should be on Statins. Atorvastatin now perscibed but not started. Seems to be a safety net as Cholesterol is within normal

Dosage Amounts on Combi Therapy
Hope no one minds sharing, I started on self sourced T3 in December, adding it to my Levo. I'm due to run my first blood test on this new regime in a week on two. I'm curious about the dosages other members who take Combi thyroid meds are on, how much T3 and T4 they take daily, and do you split doses

HCT above average
Hey, could any one advise if HCT can be dropped / managed with venesection ? I've noticed on a random blood test from GP few months ago my hematocrit was 0.55 I assume this is considered high. In addition I do regular full blood tests in a local hospital and I never noticed Hematocrit on results. Not

Rheumy Appointment
Hi I have a rheumy appointment today . I’m really concerned that she will fob me off about my ‘PMR’ . I’ve seen her once before , in June . She confirmed I didn’t have GCA , which I was treated for due to symptoms of GCA . I was in on a high dose of pred - 40mg per day , she tapered me over 8weeks

need advice
Hello, Having B12 defiency my GP has been prescribing me oral B12 which got my levels to normal but hasn’t changed my symptoms. She then prescribed blood tests for parietal cell antibodies and intrinsic factor antibodies. Both were negative. She says therefore I only need B12 orally and not injections

Overdosing bisoprolol- can anyone offer advice?
I don’t know whether it is where I live ( the NW) but I really struggle to get appropriate treatment. Anyway I picked up my meds on Saturday. Opened them in the car and noticed my bisoprolol was suddenly in 5 mg tablets not 2.5 mg. I went back into the pharmacy to be told that I have been on 5 mg tablets

Sleeping pills? Are Temezepam and Zopiclone okay to take to get to sleep ?
I am a 65yr old male. For many years I’ve suffered with poor sleep, basically tossing and turning from side to side in an attempt to sleep and scratching my head and other places in my legs. Basically I just have the urge to move after a few minutes. This happens regardless of whether I’ve worked hard

T4/T3 conversion
Can anyone recommend a good supplement for T4/T3 conversion please? My T3 blood tests (Medicheck) have been in the 3's since Covid - apart from a brief period when I hit the dizzy heights of 4.4 - but I've always been 'within range' so no chance of getting T3! I am currently waiting for an MRI (10

Hello, I'm new!
Hi everyone, I usually hang out in the Thyroid group because I've got Hashimoto's, but someone suggested I may have pernicious anaemia based on my B12 blood test results, below. My levels have been high for years. They used to be over 1000 but they've come down now. It is normal for levels to go up

Blood results
Hi all. Just had my blood test results back, which I’m told are all normal. Just thought I’d ask if anyone can confirm they are in fact normal, as I certainly don’t feel normal 😂 I’ll set it out June 23 v. March 24 for comparison. June 23 Serum folate 14.7 ug/L Serum ferritin 16 ug/L Serum B12

Iron infusions
Hello, I am writing on behalf of my 87 year old mother, who suffers greatly from RLS. These are her blood test results, showing low saturation and high total iron binding capacity. She is on gabapentin and Ropinirole and Tylenol 3, with no relief. She has CHF with water retention. Ehat are your thoughts

Overdue Update
Hello everyone. I am not sure when I last posted my health situation but think it was mentioning abdominal pains and querying whether Hydroxycarbamide could be affecting my colon. I’ll try and keep this short. From midJune I suffered constant symptoms like IBS(D) . I already had been diagnosed with Diverticulosis

Echocardiogram & Heart Failure
After recent echocardiogram my GP tells me they weren't able to put a figure on my ejection fraction. They are assuming it is at an acceptable level as my systolic was good, even though a separate BNP level blood test was described as very high, indicating diastolic dysfunction and heart failure.

A bit worried
I had some blood test results through the post after a recent telephone appointment. I’ve been on Pegasys for a few years and with ET CALR2. Platelets are well controlled at 329 but these results have WBC at 10.9. This is still only just in the normal range but previous results in March this year were
