NDT and NHS blood tests
Hello everyone, I'm just curious about NDT (I'm using Armour) and its status within NHS. I understand it is not a licensed medicine here. I asked my GP practice if they would be happy to provide me with blood tests to monitor my bloods, however I got a phone call from admin stating they would not

REPLIES TO MY POST RE ACCESS TO BLOOD TEST ON INE.
I am overwhelmed by all the extremely helpful replies to my query from my “ blood brothers and sisters” on MPN Voice. I am about to try PKB initially as I did register with them some time ago but didn’t get very far then. If this doesn’t work, I will definitely try all other suggestions and want to thank

Hi, In May 2021 I had the intrinsic factor blood test and my results were as follows. 89 u/ml. With a normal range of 0-24 u/ml. And the following notes. The presence of anti intrinsic factor antibodies together with a low vitamin B12 level is diagnostic of pernicious anaemia Does this make sense to

UK paid £160 per patient for GP care 2022 That is no different really to many other countries So where is the problem Aside form al that Lets say a patient comes in with 40 to 50% of B12D symptoms. . .. . Dont do a blood test . . . . . Save at least £30 with that but give them a B12 jab

PET scan results and thoughts please :-)
Hello everyone. I haven’t posted for a while and I hope you are all keeping well. I recently had a PET scan which showed absolutely no inflammation in my body and no tumours. The scan was done because I cannot seem to get below 5mg of Prednisolone without flaring and the rheumatologist felt there

Post nstemi.. liver bloods?
So in December 2023 I had an nstemi (have a stent fitted).Today I went for a blood test to check my cholesterol levels, kidneys and liver function. I assume because of all the meds I'm on. This evening I get a text to say to book a "routine appointment" with my GP to discuss liver bloods. I rang and

Hep B immunity blood test positive
Hi all I was asked by my clinic to do a Hep B core blood test which I believe is same as immunity one and I asked my GP for the tests. It’s come back as not immune to hep b. Does that mean I won’t be entitled to a donor egg treatment? I’m freaking out 😟 Please share your thoughts and experience

Raynauds and Hypermobility
Hello, I've been diagnosed with primary Raynauds which is getting worse. I've had blood tests to rule out other conditions, but they've all been negative. Should I be pushing for a nailfold capillorthingy (technical term...)? I've also got colitis, irritable bladder, some joint hypermobility so I'm

Things not happening is a blessing in disguise
Nowadays I look back and feel that not having got those places in the inner city was a blessing in disguise as I wouldn't have been happy there and the rents there have got absolutely ridiculous and that really really would have hurt to have got one of those places that was nice and affordable at first
