Sore stomach on apixaban
I’ve been on apixaban for just over 2 months and have 3 weeks to go, then 4 weeks off before a d dimer blood test. I’ve had awful stomach cramps for a couple of weeks, blood in stools and leaking watery blood like I’m wetting myself (lovely picture!). The doctor is sending me for the fast track bladder

Sensitive post: BFP after 7th transfer but Prednisolone immediately stopped
Hi, yesterday I had the news I have been waiting for, finally a BFP after my 7th transfer (my first BFP in almost 3 years which ended in miscarriage). Whilst I am over the moon, I am also filled with fear. I have no more BETA tests booked in so next step is viability scan in 3 weeks. This morning I

My Gabapentin Dilemma
Help! I need some advice regarding my Gabapentin treatments. This is my first post so I hope I don’t ramble too much. I’m over 70 years old with RLS for over 30-40 years. Fortunately I don’t have RLS attacks during the day but have them almost every night after I fall asleep. On high doses of Gabapentin

Docetaxel not working so stopped
I promised I would update you after my scan to see how the chemo was progressing. Well, the main reason for the chemo was that spots had appeared in my liver. Last week's CT scan showed that the spots have grown "significantly" so the chemo is not working. Also, my liver function blood test results -

Yesterday my Neurologist took a blood sample to get a baseline test so that future tests can see if my MS goes up is stable or goes down. I've not heard of this before.

New IBS diagnosis
Mid November I woke up with shooting pain to the left of my belly button and had aches in my lower back, I left it a week hoping it would pass but then went to the GP. I should add that I had lost over half a stone in weight. The GP did a prostate exam (nothing abnormal) as my father has prostate cancer

Newbie trying to get off Pram
I've been on 2x 0.088 for a while. Compared to what I've been reading on the forum it sounds a low dose....I think.I started augmenting so managed to get Gaba from GP the other day. GP said I could come straight off Pram but I've taken 1 x 0.088 tonight with 300mg gaba. It's 02.15 and my legs are going

Thyroid Blood Test
Hi Everyone First time posting on here. I have seen many people recommend having thyroid blood tests early morning before taking Levothyroxine. Does this make a big difference to the results? I am due a thyroid blood test, my problem is I am housebound so my GP arranges for a district nurse to come

Results Fine!
After years of having low vitamin levels and low end T4 results it appears all is now fine! Thank you to SlowDragon for suggesting private blood test.

side effects of biologics-anyone effected?
just the above really. It look like I've been approved. I'm going for blood tests soon but I have done some research and found that they can suppress the immune system which has concerned me because one of the main triggers for me are viral and bacterial infections. Anyone here have any experience of

switch to hydrocortisone
I’ve been to see the endocrinologist today on the recommendation of the rheumatologist. I had a borderline synacthan test , on the basis of which today he has suggested I switch to 5mg of hydrocortisone twice daily from 4 mg of prednisolone. In the background to this I have also been prescribed low

"Could toenails help identify blood cancer causes" https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c51z348p4e9o This article is on BBC Scotland's website today. I suspect it may have been on this forum before and maybe someone has experience of the trial? It is very interesting about research into the causes

SWOLLEN ANKLES WITH LUNG CONDITION
Hi, This is my first post on here I think. Almost a year ago I was in hospital as I couldn't breath, felt like I was suffocating. I'd had a chest x-ray 6 months previous and was told my lungs were quite normal and my dr couldn't find a reason for my breathlessness. It did improve for a while, but came
