Just been diagnosed with Hashimoto's and quite a good positive she said 1260.
Hi All Just wanted to thank everyone for the amazing advice on this group. As I explained before I've had vertigo/dizziness and lots of other symptoms for nearly 2 years now. With loads of advice from this page with regards getting private blood tests done, pushing my Gp even though they said I do

Feeling pathetic...
Sitting at the hospital in the midst of a synacthen test and feeling sorry for myself. So I thought I'd vent on here to a group of lovely folk who understand what it's like to appear normal on the outside but struggling on the inside! Like most on here I hate having to admit I can't do what I used to

Hypo Throidism
This diagnosis has overwhelming effects on life. I have all the symptoms. Levothyroxine prescription changes with blood tests. None of it works Really is this truly all that is available. If it’s an auto immune system attacking my Thyroid or so I was told by my latest GP phone call. Why not deal with

How reliably does NHS retest Blood iron levels after IV Iron?
my new NHS gastroenterologist ordered my iron infusion when my GP alerted her to what they are calling complex iron deficiency blood test results, some longstanding. I was given Ferinject on April 11th. The infusion appointment letter says: the physician who is looking after you may follow up with

Levothyroxine stopped postpartum
Hi all, new here 👋December 2022 I was feeling pretty rubbish, really low mood, spaced out and just generally unwell. I went to my GP and my bloods came back borderline underactive. In February I found out I was pregnant, during routine bloods I had a phonecall from the hospital saying I needed to

Advice on recent blood tests
I've included the last three sets of blood tests, all done at the same lab, fasting in the morning. Question is whether an increase in T3 is warranted. My new Endo thinks I can go from 15mcg to 20mcg which will help with my fatigue. I have been on 15mcg for a few years and was doing well, but fatigue

starting sober
Hello all. I realised I had developed a habit of drinking most evenings after work to unwind. What started as a glass of wine on a Friday and Saturday became 2 large glasses almost every night of the week. Having felt uncomfortable with this for a while it is only recently that I have decided things

Why all going wrong always with me 😭
Today is my 10dpt of 5dt. Did the urine pregnancy test and showed up negative😭. I used the strips that can measure hcg more than 25u/ml. Not sure whether hcg quantity was there to detect or I’m not pregnant. But this time I was confident the way my symptoms showed up and expected the implantation

BFN confirmed advice please 🙁
I persevered in hope after my BFN last Sunday thinking it was too early and did another 3 days of tabs and pessaries to take me through to the full 14 days but did a blood test pregnancy test today and still shows BFN so that’s our third icsi round over for us. Not sure if the doc will be able to shed

High Leukocytes in urine
So blood tests have come back as above and I have a feeling this has been going on for some time, but not actually had a urine sample test in the past few years. In fact the only urine test was because of discharge from vagina, thought to be thrush which is now being treated. So thrush can cause

Does changes in liver always mean cancer
Hi My partner has cirrhosis and a spot on the liver which is monitored every 6 months. Following an ultrasound, more spots have now been identified and is going for an MRI and blood tests soon. I am very worried and was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation and does this always result in a

Starting Third Month of Orgovyx--Update
Blood test after two months shows PSA of 1.45, down from 16.5--over a 90% drop. So, the medication is working as advertised. I believe their own stats indicate an approx. 98% drop in 90 days. This week's visit with my new MO nurse practitioner went well. She was very happy with the PSA results and

Pes Anserine Bursitis - steroid injection offered.
On Thursday I had an appointment with a rheumatologist who had previously been quite impatient and dismissive of me. I made up my mind to give him the briefest details of my woes over the last 9 months. (This is a 6 monthly appointment 😂). He was happy for me to continue with my slow tapering and then

Ever since my symptoms started I have suffered from extreme hot flashes & sweating multiple time’s per hour daily, I’ve not had any respite for nearly 3 years. Fibroscan – is it too early to be jubilant?
I do now feel like a fraud being here 😔 and my apologies to anybody here who feels I’ve created a storm in a teacup for myself and that I should clear the cyber waves for genuine issues. But in fairness to myself my GPs have been expressing serious concerns to me, I feel suggesting that I’m bound to

I'm back!
I had polymyalgia 6 years ago but have been free of it for just over a year.Unfortunately , we have had quite a bit of stress in the family and the tell tell symptoms came back. Had a blood test and CRP levels 63 mg so yes I was right. A GP texted me to say that he was prescribing 15mg for 14 days. What

Please can someone help me?
Hi All! I’m hoping someone on here can help me as I am having no luck with my doctors. I have been having pain and stiffness, strange rashes, blotchy red skin, swelling, my hips, knees and ankles are particularly affected. I have had very raised inflammatory markers in blood tests since 2009 but this

I’m currently on Liothyronine only 40mcg daily. My endocrinologist sent me for a blood test 3 weeks ago and I got a letter from her today saying that my T3 is high indicating I am overactive. She never supplied me with any figures on this letter so I have no idea what my levels are now. She has suggested
