Low dose aspirin

Had anyone who is on low dose aspirin for life, found their iron levels have dropped. Went for pre assessment for total knee replacement a few weeks before Christmas and blood test showed my iron levels had dropped, so now going for iron infusion at local hospital this afternoon. Looking back on past blood tests I noticed that since I was put on the low dose aspirin, due to being diagnosed with angina at the beginning of last year, my haemoglobin levels have dropped a bit although not to the point of being anemic until now. I also take pantoprozol and have read that P.P.I can interfere with the absorption of iron.

I've been on soluble 75mg Aspirin since heart attack in 2019. I now need CABG x5 so have been for a pre op assessment and the blood test showed I have low iron levels. Now I have to take iron tablets for a few weeks and have a further blood test mid January.
