anterior wall afib ablation update from April 28th
I am super excited, I had a follow up with my EP Dr. Here in Arkansas, they did tests including my pacemaker interrogation… Whooo Hooo, it showed NSR 99+%, less than 1% out, but NOT afib! Never give up, I wish I had followed Cleveland Clinic DR advice 4 years ago, following up with a 3rd ablation after

Metoprolol, flecainide and prevention?
Age 59, lone paroxysmal AF for 12+ years which I have largely ignored because it wasn't that bad. It's been 4yrs since the last major episode but I suspect I am now in low-level AF a lot. I'm guessing at this because I don't have an AF app and due to the pandemic it's been nearly four years since my

Mitral valve (moderate)regurgitation and AF.
Has anyone with AF been diagnosed with MVR? What is the treatment, can you still have an ablation or perhaps......this may not be needed if the valve is repaired? To me it does seem pointless having an ablation if the Regurgitation is the cause of AF and this is not addressed first. On the plus side

. This truly is a nightmare. If I could just get my stomach to be normal I might have a chance but my anxiety triggers that too!! My anxiety is so physical. I get sick. I had such a good day yesterday and then this morning awful.

Update on meds.
Hi, Finally, off the Bisoprolol (great to feel energetic again). Now taking Nebivolol (1,25 mg ) per day….This particular BB is stabilising my heart rate between low to mid 60’s Amlodipine (5mg) for BP which is stabilising around 122/73 At the moment, all is well. Fingers crossed 🤞 it continues…

10k training run
Hi folks 🤗 just thought I'd update you on how my training is going. Today I'm up to 6k run I could pinch myself as never thought I'd get to do anything like that again!! Feeling good though wee bit knee trouble now and then. But nothing a pain killer and deep heat can sort. I'm joining a park run group

Knowing when I am ready to drive again post-op
Hi everyone. So I’m 2-weeks past open heart surgery to replace aortic valve. Which is just wild. Did the usual requirements of advising who I need to about me not driving, and in my case I need to go to see a doctor 6 weeks after the op to discuss being fit to drive, for them to write a letter etc

low Heart rate
I had a second ablation nov 22 for tachycardia paroxymol AF, it went very well and now off all medication except apixaban. In the last few months I have had incidents where I feel very wiped out for an hour or two and my Apple Watch records heart rates as low as 41. My resting heart rate is down from

Any advice for travel insurance with previous Pulmonary Embolisms?
Hello all. After a bad bout of pneumonia/pleurisy 18 months ago had a crisis and diagnosed with non acute pulmonary embolisms. I haven't really improved and appear to have some heart failure etc since. Now I wondered if anyone with similar has managed to get health insurance for flying to Spain for

Duloxetine?
Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone could tell me about their experience of Duloxetine? One of my GP's mentioned it to me during treatment for my IBS. I've since done research and seen that Duloxetine is better for my kind of IBS. I'm not mega enthused about starting a new anti-depressant, but

Can Sodium or Calcium Channel Blockers Worsen SVT?
Okay, so I have a new med that I am trying, Propafenone. I have failed Norpace and also Flecainide. The problem I am having is that it seems that these medicines are making the SVT worse. I have Atrial Tachycardia. I cannot find any information about this. Where can I get more information? My doctor
