Afib and cholesterol
Have any of you been put on statins just because you have Afib ? As you all know I had my ablation last November and recently had my bloods done and my cholesterol was 5.7 so I was told by the doctors receptionist that I have two choices I either book an appointment to see the nurse about it or I can

Any Help to break free of this rut I'm in??
Back in 2020 I had a
health
scare that turned out to be linked to my
anxiety
. It was a heaviness and pressured feeling in my chest, and at the onset I had weakness, and the "feeling" would go down my arm. I thought it was my heart.

tricuspid regurgitation
During my last echo it has been noted that my tricuspid has moderate to severe regurgitation but with my surprise the cardiologist is not suggesting any intervention. I must say I’ve got congenital heart disease with many open heart surgeries on my shoulders, heart failure, a tons of meds prescribed

A-fib free since ablation 18 months ago but now suggesting Apixaban
I have found this forum so useful since having my first paroxsymal a-fib occurrence two years ago at age 63. I had several occurrences of a-fib with fast heart rate of 110-150 bpm. Fortunately these all self-corrected to NSR within 1-4 hours. I am fit and not overweight and the a-fib usually happened

AFIB, Besremi refused by insurance, and more
On December 1, I felt breathless, climbing stairs quickly and caring for my husband (who had open heart surgery in November). I felt like my heart was beating fast, and I was winded. But it got worse: My apple watch said I was in AFIB. AFIB??? I have no heart issues. I went to the emergency room

Going through tests, really really worried and would like some support and advice please?
I have pretty significant
health
anxiety
as part of GAD, so I feel like I’m falling apart. Does anyone know what slight right ventricle enlargement means? Do I have heart failure? I have two little ones and I’m worried I won’t get to see them grow up? Any advice would be great 😊

Flying to Australia
Hi! I’m looking to fly to Australia to see my daughter. I am 58 and had double heart bypass in July last year, with full recovery. I wonder if anyone can recommend a reasonable travel insurance? Many Thanks 🙏

Atrial Tachycardia ablation
Has anyone here had an ablation for atrial tachycardia after they’ve had afib ablations? I’m curious to know if that ablation was any different than your afib ablation? I’ve had 3 afib ablations and it seems they’ve resolved the afib and flutter (knock on wood). But they’ve left me with more regular

Anxiety disorder, let's start at the beginning.
That's right, you can recover -
health
anxiety
doesn't have to be a life sentence. I'm not a medical practitioner so I can't instruct you what to do. But I can tell you what helped me to recover and what has helped many others.

QoL and personal decision-making
I came across this article, which was published in a general interest magazine, written by a noted researcher in Medical Ethics who is also a long time practicing oncologist. The title given to the article was the publication's and the author made pains in an interview to say it is somewhat misleading
