health anxiety complete meltdown worrying all the time
I sympathize with you I’m sooooo focused on my heart
Hi,
The key to reducing anxiety is learning to practice acceptance, sometimes easier said than done.
I have learned a 3 step method to help with it: say to yourself
1. So there is that worrying thought/feeling
2. It is only a thought/feeling it's not a fact
3. I am going to do something to distract myself from feeling/thinking.
Then as they say in the Nike ad, just do it.
The it is whatever you can do anywhere or anytime the need pops up.
Best wishes 🐈⬛
Black Cat is correct, you might also check out the website and youtube videos of Paige Pradko on health anxiety she even has a online program available for it.
The more you try not to be afraid, the more you will be. As much as you want to run away from the fear, tell it; ok, I’m here, do your worst.
Feel the fear, embrace it, describe exactly what you feel in your body when it’s there.
Then do this exercise, and tell me if it works. But you got to really do it, as silly as it seems.
Say “brain tumor” out loud for a full minute.
Let me know how you feel.
