Pacemaker
Good morning so for months I have had feelings of fainting and hardly left my home. Anyway I finally had ecg echocardigram and R test. Saw my cardiologist yesterday and he said that I am now bracycardic as well as having Af so will need a pace maker. Bit of a shock. Also to immediately cut my propanalol

Stressing
I've been a bit quiet for a while but that doesn't mean to say I've stopped running. I've been ringing the changes with my runs and really enjoying them. Our park run was cancelled last week as part of the course was flooded but I got on the treadmill instead. I've also been going to my alternative

play a huge part in my story. People praying for me has been very helpful at times. I'm retired and I think I'm staying home too much. I do love like to get out of the house for a little while. Thank you for your support!

HEALTHY ANXIETY IS KILING ME
I have suffered from
health
anxiety
sine the age of 9 or 10. It really began to bother me as my marriage with my first wife was ending in 1997 and has been something I have dealt with off and on since. It is getting more intrusive as I get older.

Things with personal development / professional development.
But, it cause me a mental

anxiety

But what my mainly concern is about is it has to be fear to stick while improving, it feels like the more improvement the more fear it gets.

Open Heart Surgery Aortic aneurysm
Hi everyone, I am 41 and due to have my descending aorta fixed due to an aneurysm. They also found my aorta has created vascular ring around my trachea and oesophagus which needs to be sorted out. They plan to do a thorocotomy. Has anyone had experience of this? I can only find those who have had theirs

Seeking reassurance post-cardioversion
Hi everyone, As I've posted before, I had a DCCV on Tuesday of last week after being in Atrial Flutter for 6 weeks - 2 months. The flutter has come about after open heart surgery to repair a large hole in my heart. My levels of anxiety about the Flutter returning are variable, however much I try not

Severe health anxiety
I have always been super in tune with bodily sensations but in a bad way. Ever since I was a kid I would always think that anything I felt, even if it was a normal feeling, was a sign of something terrible. It has carried into my 30s and when it strikes it is debilitating. It usually happens about every

Post-Surgery
Hi everyone! I have had my heart condition ever since I was born so it’s nothing new to me. I have just recently (April this year) had my 4th open heart surgery to replace my mitral valve due to endocarditis. The recovery is long but I am doing well and have been back at work for 2 months now. Recently

New diagnosis - How do I cope?
I've never really had any
health
problems before, except for an
anxiety
condition (which as you can imagine is playing havoc right now). I just wanted to ask if any of you have had a similar diagnosis?

Urinary control and biking
I had an RP over a dozen years ago, with severe incontinence afterwards; I had a male sling inserted eventually and it has helped tremendously--not perfect, and perfect wasn't promised, but tremendously, and I'm grateful. I have biked all my life for transportation and leisure/exercise, but no longer

Leaking heart valve
I've been diagnosed with a leaking heart valve which is now severe.I'm currently awaiting to go into hospital for a new heart valve via open heart surgery. To say I am scared is an understatement. I'm not really sure what to expect.
