Counting the days to an ablation for Focal Atrial Tachycardia

Tanta Anna follow up! Has anyone had this type of ablation?

It’s my sixth ablation! This has been an awful experience for the last four months- now weaning off atenolol, which may be feel very ill. Stayed on that medication after many other trials. I am in the US, traveling 1000 miles to Dr in Texas. He did my last ablation on the left appendage and placed watchman in this area. (For anticoagulant) Last holter worn for five days showed my heart rate spiking 1600 times from HR in the 50-60 to 200. No afib!

Every day I have headaches. I fly on Monday. Ablation on Wednesday,Praying for strength in the next five days. Greatful for this site and support from other Heartbeat Irregulars!

I can't help, Vi, except to say - poor you and goodness, haven't you been through the mill, as we say here, over the years? I get mixed issues, with mild bradycardia and tachycardia with lots of missed beats (ectopics) and occasional (and increasing) AF with, now, a fast rate (150-180). I've only had one ablation, though, for atrial flutter so I can't imagine how you feel having gone through so many. Let's hope this next one finally solves the problems for you!

Thank you, since I stopped the atenolol my nausea and headaches have lessened. One day at a time
