BNP 1800
I have atrial fibrillation and my BNP tests that indicate risk of heart failure was 800 and is now 1700. The stats I have looked at are grim eg 80+% chance of death within 10 years and 50% for 5 years ( at around 2000 BNP near my numbers). Does anyone know if there is a treatment to lower BNP to under

Catastrophizing Issues
I am afraid of stopping SSRIs because my PTSD and
anxiety
are almost unbearable. I'm prone to
health
anxiety
because I have asthma and a variety of allergies that I kind of need to be vigilant about. How do I make it 30 days without having a clear plan forward?

My family think I have
health
anxiety
, which I probably do to some extent, but it just feels like my body isn’t working sometimes. I have tried to work, but am really struggling to do so, and mainly just don’t understand the symptoms. It was 5 years ago now and I was 20 years old at the time.

I have had terrible
health
anxiety
in the past (which I think was what was wrong when I went to A&E in the first place 😂) and my new doctors is an absolute nightmare to get hold of so thought I would try here first.

Dad Diagnosed w/Advanced Prostate Cancer - PSA of 4800 - Question about biopsy?
I mentioned his
health
anxiety
to the doctor at the appt yesterday and she prescribed an anxiety pill for him, so I hope that helps. Now my question - The doctor has already started him on the path of Triplet Therapy.

Can you tell me what is this new symptom?
Hi once again. Just now I've noticed and felt a new type of heartbeat. My heartbeat was two beats -> pause -> two beats -> pause. Can someone tell what this is? I see a mention of bigeminy or pvc's. I'm currently almost a month post ablation. I didn't have afib episode since December. This is a first

Hubby feels rubbish 6 weeks after heart bypass
Hi everyone My hubby had a double bypass 6 weeks ago. He did very well initially, but it's 6 weeks now and he feels he's gone backwards. Still in pain with his chest, but now feeling more weak in his arms. Getting in and out of his chair is painful. He feels very unfit - top of the stairs and

worried in France
Good evening everyone. wishing everyone a peaceful Easter. I am in need of a little advice from you lovely people. Since last Friday, I have been experiencing irregular heartbeats and combined with occasional AF. At least I presume that’s what it is, very fast beats. I don’t really know how long I should

Silent urinary tract infection
hiya -advice/your experiences requested please. I was fortunate to be given open heart surgery mid feb to mend my heart (valve) and put it in good shape for future ops and quality of life. Fabulous surgeon/team. Recovery tough but was doing ok within 3 weeks of surgery - upto 1-1.5 miles walking. Then

Night sweats
I have noticed this week I have woken up with water on my back and chest. My hair is wet and my bedding is too. I am in my sixth week of recovery since having open heart surgery, valve replacement. Has anyone else experienced this, I have only noticed it this week.

What is normal after surgery and what isn't
My husband had stoma surgery two weeks ago and got home a week later. Since coming home he seems to be deteriorating not improving. On the advice of his stoma nurse, we are going to see the GP to get bloods taken, etc this morning. However, is it normal to go off your food, be scared to eat in case

I am interested in knowing about anyone who has had major surgery after a heart bypass even it wasn’t related to the heart and with full anaesthetic

Back in 2008, I was diagnosed with AFIB and, after an echo, was also told that I had a bicuspid aortic valve. An ablation in 2018 lasted only 8 months and I was soon back in afib and back on rhythm and rate meds. Fast forward to this past March when I got Covid and my paroxysmal afib turned to persistent

Losartan
Have been on Losartan 100mg for a long time and most mornings I seem to be often clearing my throat. I looked up on Google was this a symptom of the drug and read to my horror that Losartan had been recalled because of cancer scares! I haven't been told by the pharmacist of any such problem. I hope it

Hi, I had a really awful Afib attack that resulted in a fast heart beat the other night. The morning after I took my medication and about an hour later my heart reverted back to sinus rhythm but for a few seconds I nearly passed out and remained very dizzy for the rest of the morning. It almost felt
