Can you tell me what is this new symptom?

Hi once again. Just now I've noticed and felt a new type of heartbeat. My heartbeat was two beats -> pause -> two beats -> pause.

Can someone tell what this is? I see a mention of bigeminy or pvc's.

I'm currently almost a month post ablation. I didn't have afib episode since December.

This is a first time I felt this, when I checked my pulse I noticed this pattern. It lasted for a few seconds, I tried to catch it on my wellue ecg but it was over fast.

Btw, for what is worth, it happened right after I ate a cold pear from the fridge.

Ectopic or missed beats. Very common post ablation but benign. Try slow deep diaphragmic breathing.

I didn't manage to do anything since it lasted for 5-10 seconds altogether. But this is my first experience.

I've had that. Its called trigeminal beats and can last quite a while, though generally less than an hour (in my experience), and is completely harmless. Skipping every other beat is called bigeminy, I'd get that too. If it started to annoy me I'd do some brief exercise like standing up and sitting down a few times, beating my chest lightly, or stamping my feet, or spinning my arms around a few times. In fact, 5 or 10 minutes of moderate exercise with deep breathing could sometimes snap my heart out of aFib. And try what BobD suggested, slow, deep breathing.

1 month post ablation and even after that you probably will get lots of different Arrythmias.I did but now 13 months in NSR.

I get this, as you'll see from the image below from my Wellue device. It calls them a "couplet of PAC", but I also have, as the others describe here, bigeminy and trigeminy. They can cause my Apple Watch to report "inconclusive" or even "poor recording" if there are many. "Poor heart" and "Poor Steve" more like, eh!? ;-)

I have been told that they signify nothing important and are just an example of the increased fragility of our heart's conduction system taking a different turn with the AV node allowing extra atrial ectopic beats through. It should know better but however much I complain, the worse it gets. It might be an age thing!

Hi,I have bigeminy and my GP has explained it to me in this way.Bigeminy is having two beats for every beat. So, if your heartbeat would be 90 bpm it's 180bpm.

For me it feels like someone playing a frenzied drumroll in my chest, there is sometimes a pause then they start again.

Weirdly my pulse is always in the low 40s but apparently that's 'as expected' for me. I don't know why.

Ectopic beats. Most likely be fine. Try not focus on them or worry as this can make them worse. Deep breathing works. Meditation. Even a quick nap can reset.
