High cholesterol?
Hello, I recently did a blood test through the company Thriva, anyway I was slightly shocked to see my cholesterol was a bit high. Should I consult my gp or are my results just a tad high and nothing to worry about? I will attach my results, thanks. Oh and the blood test was conducted after an 8hr fast

Dr Kendrick's - another new study - an interesting read
Which created headlines around the world – most of which failed to understand the difference between LDL (‘bad’
cholesterol
) and non-
HDL
cholesterol
. Which may, or may not, have been deliberately done.

Recent folate & B12 results: Serum Folate 11.2 ug/L (normal range 3.4 - 12.2). B12 434 ng/L (normal range 211 - 911). 9 days before these results ferritin level test was shown as low: 21 ug/L (normal range 22 - 322). What can I infer from these figures? I don’t know if I should hope for average numbers

Please help interpret my blood test results
Hi, I'm new here. Please help me interpret my blood test results. What I show is all that was tested for thyroid each time, so direct month to month analysis is not always possible. I take 60 mg of Armour Thyroid every morning. All these blood draws were done after taking it in the morning as I didn't

High Cholesteral and being overweight
My doctors has notified me that after my recent blood tests my cholesterol level is a little high at 5. I am about 3 stone overweight and am going to WW but never seem to loose much. Am unable to run ( running (or jogging) is my preferred excercise) because I've had a tumble and damaged my knee. Can't

Holding off statins challenge 🙄
Hi...happy new year🥰 My annual check showed my nhs cholesterol level at 13 whatever that means but should be under 10 so I said I will seriously try to lower this myself as statins buggered my leg muscles up. Given me 6 months and if not lower suggest I try a different one, which I really don’t want

Is It Time to Retire Cholesterol Tests?
The reexamination, which compared people with different apoB levels but the same non-
HDL
cholesterol
readings, crystallizes the importance of measuring the protein, he says.

TSH target - Hashimoto's, early menopause and finally out of range
Hi there, I would appreciate some guidance/suggestions on the TSH (and freeT3 and freeT4, if appropriate) target number/range I should head towards. I have Hashimoto's and finally I am now out of range for my TSH so I might be in a position to get some help. However, I was reading on the Thyroid UK
