Good times in a crazy world

Last year at this time I thought that MY world had collapsed.

One year later, the Whole World is collapsing, showing us all that live is unpredictable, and needs to be enjoyed in full every day that we are here.

Continuing from my previous post, we had a fantastic December Holiday at the Beach.

The children and grand children spend precious time together with us, and I started to feel better day after day.I started working again in January, and also re-started my exercise regime. Running 5 to 10km, 3 times a week. Weights and stretch band exercises twice a week, and occasional games of Squash with my Son in Law.

Maintaining a healthy plant based diet , with an occasional treat of Ostrich Meat, Mutton, or Venison, and taking the daily supplements that I found out about on the forum that nobody wants to join.

I saw my RO and MO on the 2nd of March, and my results are getting better and better. PSA down to 0.02( the lowest they can measure in South Africa), T down, E2 and HDL in balance( as per Pjoshea13). I had a talk with my MO about Avodart, and he doesn't have a problem with me taking it, and I will start doing this shortly.

He is not too keen on IADt( The reason I want to start Avodart) because of my high Gleason score(9), but is willing to consider it at a later stage in my treatment.

All things considered I am probably healthier than I have been in the last 15 years( besides a little PCA issue), and mostly succeed to enjoy every day more than I did before my diagnosis.

We are at the moment in an unexpected self isolation at our little Beach Cottage, missing the children, and grand children, but enjoying some real quality time together.

We check the Forum on a daily basis, and you have all become like Friends, even-though we have never met any of you.

We love the banter and advice, and cry with the people in pain, and those that have lost their dear ones.

This Forum has given a new dimension to our life, and we are grateful to be a part of this since my diagnosis.

To all PC Warriors out there,

Stay positive, enjoy life, and fight this bitch with all you've got!

I see you are doing so many right things such as healthy plantbased diet, running and weights and strech band excercise etc. I can visualize good outcome and intermittent ADT in your future.

You are really on your way to Learn All about our disease. Have seen many good posts from you. I know you believe in fully plant based, I am however of the opinion that moderate animal protein is necessary to keep the body in good shape.

I am not against small amount of clean, non GMO fresh meat devoid of hormones and carcinogens. Should not be stale and putrefied. Hard to get in Markets in USA.

“Mutton “ ? Mmm nuttin like a little mutton stew eh? Live well and enjoy the simple life until this storm passes. Great post . Thanks🍀
