About cholesterol!?

Hi Alexa. These are really good results. The ratio of good cholesterol (HDL) to total cholesterol is now used as a better indicator than amount of bad cholesterol (LDL). 2.59 Total is really good. A ratio of less than 5 is good and ideally 3.5. So 4.05 is good too. Hope that helps.
But the total cholesterol witch is 2.59 is the same think with LDL? Cause i read that the total cholesterol means a total with hdl and ldl and triglicerids...why is nowhere the LDL? I understand that 2.59 is too low..thanks for replay and for your time

Your HDL is slightly low. My cardiologist told me ideally over 1.0 (mine is 0.97). You an increase this by eating more oily fish. Exercise, being a healthy weight and not smoking all help. Some reports suggest that limiting total carbs to around 120gm per day of complex carbs is also beneficial.
