No flu jabs available
I just went to the doctors to get my flu jab. They said that there were no flu jabs available for anyone under 65 even with pre existing health conditions, this is by government orders. I checked this out with several local pharmacies and it is correct. I am 60 with COPD, I feel like I am being thrown

A step toward a universal flu vaccine.
Each year, the flu vaccine has to be redesigned to account for mutations that the virus accumulates, and even then, the vaccine is often not fully protective for everyone. Researchers at MIT and the Ragon Institute of MIT, MGH, and Harvard are now working on strategies for designing a universal flu

Treatment donešš¼šš¼ With a smile
Bloods were good so was given my injection of Denosumab, Ibrance and Letrozole. Saw a really lovely nurse today who made me feel human. We laughed and swapped notes on apple crumble recipes. Was a pleasure. I told her I had lost a crown but she was happy for me to see what my dentist says. I asked about

Hi All, Happy to be here but not, as I'm sure you all get. Seems like a very supportive community which is lovely. I care for my husband who was diagnosed with probable MSA in 2017. Symptoms started occurring in 2014. So its been a weird one in the sense that for ages we weren't sure whether it was

Flu jab????
Hi, I have Lupus SLE and usually don't have a flu jab, as in the past it has always caused flare ups, but due to covid I'm wondering whether to have one this year and suffer the flare, as I do realise if I was unfortunate to get flu and covid i would be in trouble. Just wondering if anyone has experienced

Hyrdroxychloroquine
Hi all. So after a lot of tests and some back and forths of seriously low white blood cells, my consultant has decided to take me off Mychophenalate and put me on a very low dose of Plaquenil (easier to say it that way) Now, when I was first diagnosed 14yrs ago with SLE, I have very little recollection

Winter flu jab. Who is entitled.
After receiving a message from MJog messenger( doctors portal), asking if I wanted a flu jab,I replied I did. My wife phoned to book an appointment only to be told they never sent the message. I was not allowed it. So I did recheck they did send it. I have a large PE and smaller one in the r/h lobe

Pneumococcal vaccine
Hello all. I had the pneumococcal vaccine two or three years ago, then had FCR chemotherapy which finished in October 2018. Iāve been invited for a second pneumococcal jab next week. My haematologist is aware. I thought Iād check to see if anyone else has done the same, and if thereās any reason I shouldn

Flu jabs
Does anyone not have a flu jab? Iāve never ever had one and I donāt want one - Iāve also never had flu but Iām beginning to get freaked out by people on other groups I use who do and who are panicking in case they get missed out. Am I the only person who doesnāt?

Update on flu jab experience
I had my annual flu vaccination one week ago. As usual, I had mild soreness at site of injection, at first, that was only side effect. As the week progressed, however, I began feeling more fatigued.About day 4, post injection, I was sleeping about 10 hours at night. It seemed I needed lots more sleep

Pneumonia and flu jabs
Hello everyone I had the flu jab in one arm and the pneumonia jab in the other on Saturday. 24 hours of fever on Monday which has now subsided. Feel decidedly under the weather now though. The nurse said I might feel unwell for 2 or 3 days but I thought I'd be better by now. Has it happened to anyone
