Is Parkinson's an autoimmune disease?
I have several autoimmune problems, all my three children had/have varying degrees of allergic reactions to : milk alllergies, eczema, asthma,
hay
fever
and Reynaud's syndrome. I am concerned that Parkinson's' may be hereditary via the route of the predisposition of autoimmune diseases.

Hospital stay
Morning Ladies Its another such a beautiful day and I am in hospital... Since Wednesday! š Monday afternoon I've started to feel unwell. Got high fever, horrible headache and pain in bones and muscles, like flu. Went to bed. Temp was really high, over 39 degrees and I had a problem to take it down.

Mum has been diagnosed with lung cancer yesterday.
I'm numb with shock and distress! It's been a whirlwind the past two weeks. My mum has been complaining for 12 months with an ache in her back. She visited her gp who said it was a strain and at her age she's 77 you get aches and pains. Fast forward to June her routine yearly health check her bloods

Scar on lung.
First I have heart and lung conditions amongst other condition. In the 90s I was diagnosed with Polycythemia and a scar on the lung, just a scar as far as I know. The Polycythemia hospital specialist said it was just the high point of normal. I was relieved as the treatment is not great, That is never

Concerned daughter - bronchieactasis
Hi everyone, hoping someone could give me some advice. My mother is 69 and was diagnosed with mild bronchieactasis about 5 years ago. She's always kind of managed, taking antibiotics when she's had an infection, but recently, she had 4 weeks of cipro, which didn't help and started causing tendonitis,

Hi there, I am wondering if anyone can help provide some stories or words of encouragement. My father was sent for an X-ray on his chest a few weeks ago, the results are in and they have found a 13mm shadow on his lung. They have followed this up with a ct scan this Thursday which was a cancellation

Hi, I'm 39 and was diagnosed with RA in my 20's. After being terribly painful for about 2 years it went into almost full remission after a year of Sulphasalazine and NSAID's. Aside from the ends of both of my pregnancies I have had very little problems...until this year. In March I underwent a termination

Terrified of lung cancer
Hi, new poster here. I landed on this site a couple of weeks ago while googling my symptomsš. I'm overwhelmed with anxiety tonight. I've had major anxiety for more than 10 years now, usually controlled with xanax. First let me say that I do not go to the Dr. unless I'm sure they won't be doing a cheat

Alternative Treatment for RA
I was diagnosed with RA in February 8, 2017. This is the most painful experience that Iāve ever been through. October 2016; after two weeks of training for employees to run new machine, I did a lot of heavy lifting at work which I normally donāt do at work. I felt pain on my right shoulder but I told

Anxiety or heart issue?
I am 21 and Iām so fed up with these palpitations!! The last 7 months Iāve had racing heart which I ended up in hospital for a few times due to having huge panic attacks at the same time and getting so worked up. Use of X-ray in diagnosis??
Hello everyone, hope you're all doing ok!! Yesterday my GP sent me for a chest X-ray to see whether I have a thymoma. I seem to remember reading a CAT scan/MRI was the way to look for this... Anyone else had an X-ray and was it helpful? Thanks x

Chest X ray.
Any ideas why my neurologist might have sent me for chest x ray. I am waiting for MRI and she took tuns of blood and sent me to respiritary to check I am breathing OK at night. Slept with monitor for a couple of nights and now find my self given appointment for chest x ray. Contacted respiritary who

Morning cough which wonāt go away!
Some of you may remember I posted several times back in June and July about an acute chest infection. Nasty rattly chest, etc. After 2 rounds of antibiotics and a lot of time (around 6-8 weeks) I got to a stage where I was just coughing up some white phlegm in the morning and then largely fine for the
