Low Ferritin - how often should I be checked?
I have an underactive thyroid and Multiple Sclerosis and I seem to periodically have low ferritin levels but normal
haemoglobin
. My level in October wasn't that low...was 12 - but I was prescribed iron pills and had to stop after after a week as I was being sick and had diarrhoea.

Test results, lots of numbers - insights please
Others that interest me: Low: Serum albumin, serum creatinine, total white blood count, basophil count, eosinophil count (observation), neutrophil count,
haemoglobin
concentration, haematocrit. Later the total white blood and eosinophil had crept just into range.

Can NHS test for the DIO2 gene?
Just another thought but: My daughter is also really tired too and has been low in ferritin B12 and vitamin D but her
haemoglobin
was normal so not anaemic. But maybe she could have inherited the abnormal gene too?

Test results including vitamins, full blood count and liver function
Full blood count, everything came back within range except for Mean Cell
Haemoglobin
level 26.8 pg [27.0-33.5] I think this may indicate low iron? I’m not sure.

Do I have Polycythemia Vera?!
I was presented with a
Haemoglobin
reading of exactly 18, RBC count of 6.35 & HCT of 0.523. I have Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease which elevates my liver function results on a relatively regular basis but they do go up and down.
