Has my Sertraline stopped working?
I have been on Sertraline for depression for 2 years. I was put on 100mg and it seemed to help, I began to feel like my old self again. My dose was gradually lowered down to 50mg. But towards the end of last year….things started to unravel. I got married last October and I wasn’t the slightest excited

Gleason Score 5+5
My gleason score is 5+5 =10. I watched Dr.Scholtz's talk who mentioned 5+5 case is rare and I happened to be one of them. My problems are like a full truck and wonder if that is the reason why my PSA remains above 7 after RP. Cancerous cell seems have spread to lymphnodes as i heard it prodcues PSA

Xtandi (enzalutamide) +ADT slows metastases in recurrent men
We recently saw that ADT+Erleada (apalutamide) slows progression compared to ADT alone. https://www.prostatecancer.news/2022/09/short-term-androgen-annihilation-in-non.html Now we have proof that ADT+Xtandi (enzalutamide) slows the appearance of metastases and delays castration resistance in recurrent

DIO2 weight loss
Hi all, I was wondering does anyone else with the DIO2 polymorphism gene become exceptionally depressed when losing weight. I have homozygous DIO2, with PMDD, infertility and endometriosis. I’m about 4 stone overweight and want to lose it. It’s not actually that I CANT lose it, but as soon as I do (

A New Direction
After seven years of fighting this disease with chemo, radiation, ADT, and abiraterone, I suffer from fatigue, nerve damage and paralysis and nerve pain in my left foot from radiation treatment, as well as depression, and a constant feeling of uncertainty. However, I am now free to let go of the life

Looking for others who have had a hysterectomy with ovaries removed in their 30s - to get your experiences
Hi all, I'm looking for personal experiences of those who had a hysterectomy with ovaries removed in their 30s. Little about me and why I'm asking. I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis and endometriosis. Had a laparoscopy with removal of some endometriosis in May 22, also had the marina coil fitted

Back on ADT
Restarted ADT 3/15/23 with my Lupron shot followed quickly with Xtandi 160mg daily. My PSA peaked to 3.36 on 3/7/23 and then 4/3/23 1.65 5/1/23 .34 So hoping the trend continues downward. Not sure if a slow or quick drop is better on recurrence. My RO said, when asked, "lower is better". Its getting

I just began the Eclipse Clinical Trial and will be posting my experiences here. Please share yours too.
I live in Southern California, but applied for acceptance into the Eclipse Trial in Miami Florida. The criteria was that I had to be castrate resistant and failed at first generation ADT, as well as second generation ADT. Plus that I had to have a minimum PSA of 2.0 with two consecutive rises one week

cortisol and oestrogen is there a link?
i’m a complicated case, but curious about hrt and cortisol. Don’t want to bore anyone with full history, in a nutshell. Hashimoto 2018, Graves 2021. Off all meds currently, but six months ago started body identical hrt. My cortisol is now 160 at 9am. Does oestrogen cause low cortisol, or should i get

Periods started back up again.
Hiah,Yesterday I started my menstrual cycle after a year of not having one due to taking the deceptoyl Injection and hrt. I had surgery in December and stage 3 was removed. I finished the injection and hrt in Feb and my period had only just come back. This time it has been different, the pain is there

Speech and Language team in the UK
Just an update on my wife (Jackie, diagnosed since 29th Jan 23) and her PSP path, she had a visit from the Speech and Language therapy team yesterday and it's not good. She's struggling with food, she'd said that food wasn't going down. So they tried her with a sandwich and she couldn't clear it after

Rising PSA...again..
In December 2017 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer after a biopsy. I ignored the symptoms for many years and it cost me. In February 2018 I had surgery to remove my prostate hoping that would cure me, PSA never went to 0. By December 2019 I was alarmed enough to start ADT with Elegard and in February
