Hi everyone, Need some help and advice before I see my GP on 12 January. These are the results: Serum tissue transglutaminase level (Xalbn) : 0.6 ku/L (0.0 - 5.0). Coeliac serology negative. Coeliac disease unlikely at present time (sensitivity 96%), providing patient taking a normal gluten containing

Thoughts on brain fog?
Once again I am trying to figure out PMR. Yesterday I came home from work beause my brain was so fatigued it just shut down. I work at at an elementary school full time and the day before had computer training that was similar to trying to learn Chinese. The fog started then. Didn't sleep well for 2

What is the difference between the antibodies tested please?
Hello, I have been following a gluten free diet for three months and had a BH blood test just to see if it was working at all. I do realise it takes longer to work but just hoped something would have changed. Well it has but I don't understand why. The anti-thyroid peroxidase abs has dropped from 256.4

Newbie............results for my daughter
Following all the fantastic advice here I have been able to advise my daughter on what to do with her vits levels, and also gluten free diet, etc etc. My question is this...........she very much wants to go a 'natural' way, and fancies trying NDT. This is rather fraught with supply issues, persuading

Can adrenals heal?
I was diagnosed with Hashi's 15 years ago, I'm now 62 and retired. I'm also in stage 3 adrenal fatigue syndrome (virtually no cortisol in June 2016). I've been self-navigating for the past 6 months, and have seen a LITTLE improvement in the fatigue and depression. I am able to take care of myself and

Test results: 1st test post-NDT switch
Hi all, I have Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism and made the switch to NDT around 8-9 weeks ago after an unsuccessful year on Levothyroxine (finishing dose of 125mcg). I'm on 2 grains on Thyroid-S which I tolerate well and I've felt good, not always great, but certainly miles better than I ever felt on Levothyroxine

Just diagnosed
Hi I have just received my results from the endoscopy confirming celiac disease although my consultant was 95% positive I had it after the original blood tests. I would be interested to know how long it takes for people to feel better after following a gluten free diet as I have been gluten free for

Hi can anyone explain my blood test results :) Before I decided to ask my doctor to be tested I thought I would remove wheat/gluten from my diet as an experiment as had quite a lot of symptoms and a few getting worse this year at one point I thought I might be pregnant as I felt like I had morning sickness

Ataxia, stomach problems and lycopene
Although i tested negative for gluten ataxia (I have "idiopathic" SCA), I am considering starting a gluten-free diet. Partly due to comments I have read on here. Quite a few people with ataxia, but not gluten ataxia, have reported only positive results after removing gluten from their diet. Somebody

Pro-biotics, anyone?
First, a blessed Christmas to all! I have been gaining knowledge from all of you for a couple of years now. You. Have. Helped. I'm on warfarin, changed my hemotologist's idea about INR (now 2.5-3.5) and bought STICKY BLOOD for all of my docs. Waiting (for what I'm not sure) to try a gluten free

canker sores
So before going gluten free, I would get canker sores all the time as a kid.. I then became sick by vomiting and diarrhea and stomach bloating. So I went to the doctor and they told me 2 try a gluten free diet for 3 months. I got better and sores went away and all. They told me to stay on the diet.

Ferritin test results skewed, b12 not resolved or something else?
First time here... first time posting about my health online. I'll try to keep this short. 5 months ago I started experiencing numbness in foot and tingling in hands and feet. Blood test showed B12 was 221 - within the normal range but I started taking the sublingual methyl-b12, 5000mcg daily. I also

Functional sensory disorder
I would very much like to hear from anyone suffering from diffuse sensory problems. Is there anything that helps? Some people have mentioned a gluten free diet. Best wishes Olivia

A new job with poor concentration
Hi I was diagnosed in March 2015 with hyper and Graves Disease having had a thyroid storm. I was self employed but couldn't keep up due to brain fog and all the other symptoms that you get, so I gave up my job. I stopped taking carbimazole in Feb this year as I'm now apparently euthyroid but I still
