TTC for nearly a year with PCOS. Anyone used metformin or clomid after the year mark?
We have been trying to conceive for 10 months now and I was diagnosed with PCOS summer last year. I rarely have periods wasnt having them at all since coming off the pill May last year. Had a period in January by myself but didn't get pregnant that month and then again I have had one exactly 28 days

Autoschizis - A Novel Cell Death In Cancer Cells
Apatone was granted FDA approval as an orphan drug. Even though Apatone is considered a drug you can buy a supplement called ProsStay .....somehow even though Apatone is patented ProsStay is Apatone sold as an over the counter supplement. I am going to stack ProsStay, Zyflamend, Casodex, Metformin, Avodart

Aspirin
This post is prompted by a new study [B6]. I use NSAIDs maybe once or twice a year, in a bad year. I have never been tempted by prophylactic use of aspirin - even low-dose. Aspirin has been around for well over a century (since 1899), so never needed U.S. FDA approval. Some say that if it were a new

Beginning a Trial
My PCa goes back to 2007, and I had radiation in early 2008. Recurrence in late 2012 and had salvage surgery in 2013. PSA near zero, but started upward in 2015. I was referred to a medical oncologist who ordered scans and put me on a regimen of POMI-T, zyflamend, and metformin. No joy, so added Lupron

What It's Like to Be in a Lung Cancer Clinical Trial - Part Two, The Clovis Pharmaceuticals Phase II Trial for CO-1686
In February 2015 I found myself sitting by myself in a car in a parking lot, summoning the courage to read the CT scan report I had just picked up to take to my oncologist. This scan marked the six month mark in my first line treatment with Tarceva. As I read the news that my cancer was starting to grow

Insulin Resistance/ PCOS
Hello everyone. Wondering if anyone has any words of wisdom on Insulin Resistance with PCOS. I am on a fairly extreme diet - 800 cals a day, no carbs no sugar. This is quite an extreme change to the way I used to eat. And its hard. I was expecting to loose 2-3 pounds a week but I'm lucky if I get 1

Update since supplementing Vits for 3 weeks
As I wrote previously, I was on Metformin 1000mg for a "diagnosis" of Type 2 diabetes, which after advice on here, I found out that it was the culprit in malabsorption of B12 (mine was 199 and insufficient). With Drs agreement I stopped taking the Metformin and started supplementing B12, Selenium,Vit

New studies below. A bit odd, today, reading of how the lychee fruit has regularly killed malnourished Indian children [1], & that the fruit inhibit epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in PCa [2]. I had a post last month on: "Metformin & the Epithelial–Mesenchymal transition [EMT]" The PCa study
