Lychee, litchi, liechee, liche, lizhi or li zhi, or lichee (Litchi chinensis

New studies below.

A bit odd, today, reading of how the lychee fruit has regularly killed malnourished Indian children [1], & that the fruit inhibit epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in PCa [2].

I had a post last month on:

"Metformin & the Epithelial–Mesenchymal transition [EMT]"

The PCa study [2] is 'full text'.

I also discovered today that there are lychee extract products.

It's rare that I see fresh lychees for sale. Canned lychee can be found in Asian stores.

  • Great research Patrick, does it say it is good for us as I read it or not? I dread doing my taxes. I hope you find time to get out and enjoy the increase in daylight. Oncology meeting today psa above the drop I got in Sept , now 71 with alk phos going slightly out of range (10 pts), we decided to do scans on Monday and finally start docetaxol q21. I am hoping for no side effects , I will be using ice chips for the nails, sucking on chips for taste and doing glutamine powder mouth rinses and sometimes swallow for the possible mouth sore issue, I am not sure what to do for the neuropathy issue. She said she had never had anyone put of chemo for as long as I had being just shy of 3 years when she called me up and said "I think we should start chemo.

  • That's amazing! Lychee, killer and life-saver. (And Chinese medicine practitioners knew it was a PCa treatment.)

Please let us know when you pick a supplement. Thank you!
