Glucose test
When I was 12 weeks I got told if my BMI was 30+ I had to go for a glucose test for diabetes. My BMI is 30.1 and I'm still being sent for these tests has anybody else had to have this fine during pregnancy? What happens? I'm worried a little

Going round in circles!
I was diagnosed in March with GCA and PMR, I started on 60 mgs of prednisone a day, reducing monthly. I am now on 20 mgs a day. Whilst on holiday I developed a DVT which led to a pulmonary embolism. I started taken warfarin. Two weeks ago and lots of irritating symptoms like night sweats, hand shakes

Swiftly crammed a jam and cheese sandwich in to recover, which

Week 1 - weigh in...
Well it's actually a day early but I got weighed this time last week, so this is my weigh-in day! Last Tuesday I was 65.2 kg or 65.4 kg, I can't remember which, and today I'm 63.3 kg. Feeling very good about that but taking the 2 kg drop with a pinch of salt as I'm now weighing myself on my own scales

NDT plus T3 top-up anyone?
Does anyone use both, and do you top up with t3 to symptoms as discussed, for example on STTM? Would really like to hear other people's experiences of what does or doesn't work for them. At the moment I'm finding that my ND runs down by the afternoon and I top up with t3 to relieve hypo symptoms.

Regular exercise could help elderly men add five years to life expectancy
Just half an hour of physical activity six times a week could reduce the risk of death in elderly men by up to 40%, according to a new study. Although the study was not carried out specifically on people with type 2 diabetes, the call to get more exercise is good advice for those with the condition
