First update post 39 sessions of EBRT
I had my 39 sessions of IGRT between February and April this year. My PSA pre-radiation was 0.51. I received my first blood test (post radiation) results today, my PSA is <0.08 Even better news was that my blood glucose was down to 5.7 and my HBA1C was down from 50 to 42. I think that’s the consequence

Covid-19 is now Air-borne, based on findings from 239 Scientists across the World- WHO issues new guidelines
While the Hope of a Vaccine is still away from reality, now it is discovered that just hand hygiene and Social distancing may not be enough to keep away from Covid19... If some one wants to step out of home, you must wear a Mask. USA president now to wear a mask if he wants to go out which till date

If you have a family member whom has told you they've been diagnosed with diabetes how long ago would the investigations have started? Just interested because this is my mother in law (doesn't live with us) but has mentioned she was diagnosed January this year, however we visited in December but there

L-thyroxine Malabsorption Due to Calcium Carbonate Impairs Blood Pressure, Total Cholesterolemia, and Fasting Glycemia
Just in case anyone thinks that advice to separate calcium (and iron) from levothyroxine is a figment of our imaginations, have a look at this paper. Not only does the paper make a point about separating taking of calcium and levothyroxine, by a long time, but they emphasise that doctors, including

Symbicort Blood Sugars
Last week I had a particularly bad asthma day and went from my usual one puff a day to seven puffs. On that same day after taking all those puffs, I had my blood drawn and the glucose level was 7 and freaked me out as I had never had a problem with blood glucose. Last thing I want now is diabetes!!!

Should I fight for a fibroscan?
Background: moderate to heavy drinker for 15 years with a few years off during pregnancy. Quit about three months ago. Since I quit I've been having several scary symptoms. Nausea, lethargic, dizziness(this started before I quit), brain fog, burning skin, shakiness. I've also noticed my breath and arm

Thinkin Bout Things, Salt this time
With a bit of time, even things like the COVID virus are accommodated by our fears and broader concerns bubble back up. One of the challenges faced by a lot of people with serious chronic illness is that they are alone physically or emotionally. As I think about these past weeks and staying at home

I seriously can’t believe that I’m writing this post on here. I’m a stage 3-4 endo sufferer. After 10 years of struggle , 9 ivfs🥵, 4 surgeries, 1 ectopic and an emergency life threatening surgery, miscarriages, I am here . I have had lost all hopes that I would ever be able to write this post on here

What do people mean when they say….
Diet
This phrase is a bit ambiguous: it can mean way of eating, see below, or it can mean a temporary weight loss plan that you only do for a short amount of time, before returning to your previous diet. See? It's confusing!
WOE/Way of eating
The term diet has negative connotations

L-thyroxine malabsorption due to calcium carbonate impairs blood pressure, total cholesterolemia, and fasting glycemia
Suggestions to separate taking levothyroxine from medicines/supplements is very frequent on this forum. And, yet again, backed up by research. These women will not have decided on their own, "let us take calcium carbonate after levothyroxine". No, of course not. Some medic, somewhere, will have suggested

Rise following dip in blood glucose after a meal
I have borderline type 2 diabetes and used to take Sitagliptin. Now my doctor wants me to try a period without it. Sometimes the blood glucose value taken one hour after a meal RISES when measured two hours after a meal. I eat no food of any sort after the meal. Can anyone explain what is happening

Diet modulates brain network stability.
A new study below [1]. I think that a lot of men on ADT are concerned about the impact on brain function. Is the decline permanent? One of the problems with ADT is the emergence or worsening of symptoms of the metabolic syndrome. Many men develop a pre-diabetic condition, if not type 2 diabetes itself

I’m starving all the time !!
Hi, This is my first post, so if it’s in the wrong place - it’s in the wrong place. I finally had a positive blood test for coeliacs last month - diagnosis of IBS 25 years ago, fibromyalgia 3 years ago. Anyway, the last 2 weeks I’ve been starving, reactive hypoglycaemia symptoms within 5 minutes of eating
