The CRP:Albumin ratio & CRPC Survival
New paper from Portugal below [1]. Here is another study showing the consequences of subclinical inflammation. The inflammation markers used were C-reactive protein [CRP] & albumin. {The useful Modified Glasgow Prognostic Score uses the same markers, but in a cruder way.} It is always better

Confusion about MPN. Please help
I posted this on Reddit and a kind user referred me to this forum, so here I am… I’m 36 and have had chronically high platelets since my early 20’s (typically around 525k). To my knowledge, I don’t think my platelets have ever been normal. My PCP has never expressed any concerns, as my other bloodwork

10 eggs fertilised, and 3 reached the Blastocyst stage
We got our day-5 call from the embryologist today and feel disappointed that only 3 (4AA, 4AB, 4AB) have reached the blastocyst stage. We will be going for FET due to OHSS. I wanted to get some advice from the community: 1. What are the success rates for the frozen embryo to survive when thawed?

2 Embryos
hi everyone, I had 2 FET and today at my 5 weeks ultrasound they only see one. My doctor said that the other one can possibly still show up but he only sees one and will check at my 6 weeks appointment. Has anyone had 2 FET and seen one but later had 2 show?

Frozen DE treatment cycle different to FET with OE
Hello All, I think I’m missing something obvious but can anyone explain why a frozen DE treatment cycle plans the transfer for day 22-24 while both my FETs have been transferred on day 17 ish? I’m anxious because after a mmc with my last FET, I hope this was a sign of receptivity at 17 day mark and

failed cryo embryo transfer
Hello I am a 44yo woman. My husband and I underwent ivf cycle earlier this year with own egg. We managed to get 9 eggs and 5 embryo. We had to get them genetically tested and after the long process we have 1 frozen embryo of high quality. So we were very excited about the next step and we started

Promotion and IVF, should I do a freeze all?
I’m in the process of a brand new fresh cycle. I’m due to start in the next few weeks, and incidentally, I was offered a promotion which I accepted without hesitation. I officially begin my new role in the next few weeks as well, and I’d like to go ahead with my cycle anyway because of my age (41) and

Progesterone levels?
Hi all, I seem to have become a serial poster of late and I really appreciate the responses. I'm struggling to find info about what Progesterone levels should be on embryo transfer and then going forward. I had a day 3 fresh ET and apparently my progesterone levels were 395 nmol/l on that day. It's now

Is this PMR?
Hello I'm new to this site and to the world of PMR. Hoping to get some guidance from this lovely community. My GP has diagnosed me with PMR at 42 and I'm not entirely convinced as I don't fit the symptoms of aches and stiffness in the shoulders and hips. This all started in March 23 where I woke

Sitagliptin
Has anyone ever been prescribed sitagliptin for recurrent implantation failure? I had a biopsy in Coventry (Dr Brosens) as we’ve had 3 failed transfers with top embryos and it has shown results which are more in keeping with recurrent miscarriages (which I’ve never had, never had a positive test) rather

Varicocele treatment - surgery or embolisation?
Hello all! So we're currently have ICSI due to unexplained infertility, with possible mild male factor due to borderline-low motility and morphology.
