Progesterone levels?

Hi all, I seem to have become a serial poster of late and I really appreciate the responses. I'm struggling to find info about what Progesterone levels should be on embryo transfer and then going forward. I had a day 3 fresh ET and apparently my progesterone levels were 395 nmol/l on that day. It's now 2dpt and it's increased to 517 nmol/l. I'd been on Lubion since egg retrieval which changed to Prontogest on ET day. Previously cyclogest didn't work for me and my progesterone levels must have been low as I started my period 7dpt in the first two rounds (both via NHS & different clinic). On the flip side, can progesterone be too high? The consultant hasn't expressed concerns and has said to carry on with the same meds. The 2ww is an absolute mindf*ck though, right!?

hi again, not an expert here and I don’t want to give false hope, but I would say the progesterone increase is a good sign maybe? Mine was 90 on FET day (day 5 embryo) then doubled in 3 days I’m now 10+ weeks.

Your body produces progesterone when you get pregnant. Yours was high to begin with but has almost doubled so either way is a good sign as what you don’t want is low Prog levels.

I really hope it works out for you x

Thanks so much, and congratulations on your pregnancy! That's fantastic news! I didn't know if it was just the change in progesterone injections (Lubion to Prontogest) I'm on that caused the jump. I'm pretty sure it's too soon for implantation to have occured yet as it's only 2 days past transfer, but I'll take it that it's not a bad thing to have it this high. Eeek!

Anything above 30 before transfer is good I think. Mine has been around 480 and they've said it's high but ok. Good luck x

Most clinics seem to look for 80 and above on day of transfer. Some prefer above 100 on day of transfer. Mine were about 150 on day of transfer so far but I haven’t had success yet. Clinics don’t seem to worry about levels being too high.

I wish you all the best going forward. I hope you get your positive soon. It's so hard going through fertility treatment with absolutely no guarantees. I had no idea when we first started. I naively thought IVF was a given and straightforward. Thanks for sharing your info on the progesterone. It's really useful and I appreciate it.
