Adrenal Testing and Genetic Testing
I am looking for more information about ‘myself’. So I have decided to have the above tests. Naturally I want the best and most informative ones. I see the results of the genetic one cannot be sent directly to me and Thyroid UK can provide an intermediary, who is a nutritionist. I can’t immediately

Newly diagnosed
Hi guys I have been diagnosed with AMN about a month. I find myself stuck in a bit of a hole. I was diagnosed with Addisons for 3 years until they did bloods for VLCFA and genetic testing which confirmed my AMN diagnosis. I have never experienced any sort of depression/mental health issues before but

genetic testing
morning all My question is about
genetic
testing for prostate cancer. Is there a
test
that will show that family members are likely to get prostate cancer if one actually does have it? Thinking about my nephews. I have no children.

The
test
uses PSA along with several
genetic
markers for prostate cancer detection, which is a marked improvement over 4K in specificity. Does anyone have info on getting the test? It's newly available as of mid September. Info at 94percent.com

Where do I go to?
I am a 60 year old male, I don’t know if I have PA, B12 deficiency or other. I have a number of symptoms which lead me to believe it is at least a B12 deficiency. Having asked my GP for an “active” B12 test I received a full serum test which came with normal levels and apparently that was me cured, my

When to add Lynparza?
I completed six rounds of chemo (docetaxel + carboplatin) end of February. Bottom line from PSMA Pet scan in late March: some tumors reduced in size/intensity, others stayed the same, no new PCa evident. PSA remains undetectable. I’m on Lupron and Nubeqa. Genetic testing shows my cancer has the ATM mutation

Help with test results - haemochromatosis with iron deficiency?
A few years ago I regularly had blood tests which showed high iron levels so my doc suspected Haemochromatosis. I had the genetic testing which showed I had the gene mutation. I used to get blood drawn to treat it and bring down my iron levels. However, recently I had blood tests which showed low ferritin

Advice on best care practices- Dextrocardia Isolated
However, said baby is now a teen of 15 and I guess I'm aware that as bodies grow and change, I don't know whether she should have another scan, a lung function,

? I just have no idea whether I should be doing anything to help her with lifetime care of this or where to start.

Low sodium diet
I am here, on this forum for my husband's CKD/proteinuria (all unexplained- kidney biopsy was "normal" as well as his
genetic
test
). Anyway, his Nephrologist put him on low sodium November 30th. I went on it with him and haven't had a migraine since!

Xtandi already failing? How is this possible
hi everyone. My dad met with his new oncologist today. He consented to genetic testing so his bloodwork will be sent out in 6 weeks. His new PSA reading came back at 2.84. On February 7th, it was 1.94. He also got another lupron shot today and it’s been over three months since he received one, maybe

Genetic Testing for Anxiety Meds
Does anyone have any experience with using any test like this? Is it worth the money? Does it work? My son has been on 2 medications since last year for OCD/Anxiety (Lexapro and currently Prozac) and they work temporarily but don't seem to last. Not sure if a medication change is needed or the dosage

Diagnosed as Compound Haemochromatosis
So, with advice I went back to GP who finally agreed to a
genetic
test
which shows me as ‘Compound’. So, I’ve been away for 2 weeks and now I need to find a specialist in my area as the GP questioned me about ‘private health care’ 🙄 We do have cover but have an excess.

If MRIs and testing has been done for the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system, have them take a
genetic
test
. If you haven't tried medication, have the patient take Carbodopa levodopa ER 25-100.

Sadly, I've joined the PCa club ...
46 years old, married, no kids. Saw my urologist last week. I have a Gleason score of 6 (3+3) (Grade Group 1) with the cancer in one core (out of 12) and 21% of the core. What are my next steps? My instinct is to get surgery immediately but I really want kids but do not have any kids yet. My urologist
