Hello everyone, not sure if this helps...

I went through genetic testing and they found my KMT2B gene activated. This is odd due to my age and how aggresive it is. My Dr has never seen this happen before. In actuality, there is nothing in written human history (as far as I know) that shows late stage activation for the KMT2B gene.

This said, it is also interesting how aggresive it is. I take the max dose of artane each day and I stoll need a cane to walk, move, and help to stand up. I will most likely going to have DBS surgery.

If this helps, as your Neurologist about this. If they give you crap for this idea, ask them to read my post. And let them read it.

To the doctor that is seeing a patient,

If yoi are unwilling to expand your mind to learn medicine l, especially to try and save your patients life, drop your lab coat, your badge, and go get another job. Due to your level of of pride, making you no longer able to treat patients or practice medical science.

You lack the understanding of the hypocritical oath. "Do no harm." And from your recent lack of care to not only the patient's well-being, personal life, and further more being part of a cause to truly understand neurological medicine, you are a waste of breathe to call a Dr. Damaging patients body and mind, because your lack of wanting to help. You look for problems, not solutions. This shows by your inability to think outside the box for a patient that is suffering on all levels.

Having read this, I hope it irritates you, I hope it pisses you off, in fact I wish I was there saying this to your face instead of reading my words. As a young man in my mid 20's, I have studied neuro disorders for over a year. If it wasn't for educating myself and wanting to grow as a person, I would most likely be dead.

With that said, if you truly care about being a doctor, look your patient in the eyes, apologize, and do whatever you can to help. If MRIs and testing has been done for the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system, have them take a genetic test. If you haven't tried medication, have the patient take Carbodopa levodopa ER 25-100. Start with 1 tablet per day and increase based off of the communication of symptoms. As you should know this is important, especially the mental health side effects. If the patient cannot take Lodpa, then have them try Artane. Start off slow and work up.

The issue with medicine teaching goes far beyond you, don't let that hinder your growth, you are here to help heal people, make their lives happy, healthy, and pain free as possible. Do exactly what you signed up for, caring for patients. Look for solutions, not problems. Think in ways that are outside the box or "norms" you will find it much easier to benefit the patients with atypical disorders.

If you are that mad about the way this was written, then go ahead, male am account and message me. Tell me how stupid and inconsiderate I am. Assume things about my life, go ahead state your worst. The more deeming and disrespectful you get, the better understanding of who you are as a person. Showing the real reason why you became a Dr. Wanting to care for patients isn't that. Humble yourself and expand your mind.

To the patient, I'm so sorry that your Dr right in front of you isn't hearing you. If they treat you so poorly, feel free to message me on here. I will help you find a Dr that is still true to their word. Your happiness, health, and living a quality of life that was stripped from you, due to negligence. Understanding you are a person, and I hear you. The support from the internet may not heal the wounds. But I will make sure you are treated with the upmost respect, you deserve.

Best,

Matt
