Outcome of follow up
Hi everyone, I posted here a few days ago about being at a crossroads about our next steps after 8 cycles (5 transfers). We've now had our follow our with our Consultant at our clinic. We've decided initially to go ahead with our final embryo on an Artificial FET in September, with no changes to protocol

Genetic testing and Second Opinion – A result!
Following on from my post last week about docetaxel not working, I had a frank conversation with my MO during which I said I strongly believe that genetic testing of my liver biopsy sample should be the next step and after some debate, to my surprise, he agreed and has put through the request. It’s still

Low AMH downhearted 4th round
Hi, I have had 3 rounds of IVF in the past 20months and am now 35yrs of age. One resulted in a missed miscarriage at 7weeks and the other two I had nothing to transfer as we have also undergone genetic testing due to an issue on my side. We've been very fortunate in that these cycles were NHS funded

Our Pluvicto story
I need to begin by saying how grateful we are to have received Pluvicto at a time when so many could not. I'm grateful for our medical team that fought so hard to get approval for Pluvicto at a time when no one was able to get it. My husband was able to complete all 6 treatments with little side effects

Hello CLL fellows and Specialists, Hematologists I want to share my experience here. We have been fortunate to meet Dr. Christen Chen at the Princes Margaret Cancer Hospital in Toronto. She is very kind and friendly. She has ordered several tests one of them is a FISH test and it is reported as trisomy

Different PD etiologies = different immune issues = different responses to interventions
This is the link I shared regarding the relationship between low lymphocytes (lymphocytopenia or lymphopenia) and PD. I think this helps to explain some of the disparity of responses to meds, supplements, etc, as well as differences in long-term prognosis. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41531-023

MPN Essential Testing | How Results Impact Care & Treatment Options
From our friends at Patient Empowerment Network. This is a four minute presentation by Dr. Raajit Rampal, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. It covers some of the basics of MPN testing, along with the recommendation for genetic testing and why. While not loaded with detail, it is a good conversation-starter

High Bilirubin, Not Gilbert's
Since more-or-less the start, GPs were telling me that I probably just had Gilbert's Syndrome, but at some point a
genetic
test
was carried out which came back negative.

Research study recruiting now - can genetic testing identify people at risk of eye damage from hydroxychloroquine?
Hydroxychloroquine is a safe and effective drug for many symptoms of lupus. However, a small number of people taking it develop eye damage (though the risk of this has been reduced since new guidelines were developed on doses and regularly having eye examinations to catch any issues early). A research

About 5 years ago local NHS refused to carry on prescribing T3 even though i had a
genetic
test
proviing that I don't convert T4 to T3 readily. My supplier of T3 no longer seems to exist. Anyone know where i can obtain T3 from?
